How many rolls does an aura really take?

Choose one of 283 obtainable auras (odds from the Sol's RNG Wiki) or type any rarity, then your total luck. The result is pure probability: no in-game testing, no guesses.

Roll calculator

The model treats every roll as independent and multiplies the base chance 1/N by your luck. It ignores Bonus Roll timing, biome switches and aura-specific rules, so read it as an estimate.

The math behind it

Each roll is an independent draw. An aura listed as 1 in N has a base chance p = 1/N per roll, and luck multiplies it: p = luck / N. The average number of rolls is 1 / p = N / luck.

The chance of getting it at least once in k rolls is 1 โˆ’ (1 โˆ’ p)^k. That is why the average is not a promise: after exactly N/luck rolls you only have about a 63% chance, and you need roughly 4.6 times that many rolls for 99%.

Example: Guardian is 1 in 10,000,000. With 5ร— luck that is 2,000,000 rolls on average.
