The current Forsaken update is the New Beginnings line: version 5.3.0 added the Helperbot survivor and a new lobby, 5.3.1 patched what 5.3.0 broke, and 5.3.2 is a memory and crash fix. The 5.3.0 notes also carry a banner saying Forsaken "is now out of alpha and entering beta". The wiki's next tab, 5.4.0, only says "TBA".
This guide is built from the Forsaken Wiki's `Update Log/2026` page and its Helperbot page; we did not play-test any of the changes. Numbers in quotation marks are the update log's own wording. For every older version, see the full Forsaken update log.
What changed in the Forsaken New Beginnings update
Five things matter most, in order of how much they change a normal match:
- 1A new survivor, Helperbot. The 13th survivor, in the Support class. Details below.
- 2A brand new lobby. Rebuilt "from the ground up" with exploration, lore and secrets, plus about 161 new NPCs.
- 3Balance changes for Guest 666, 1x1x1x1, Chance, Two Time, Jane Doe, John Doe and Guest 1337. Guest 666 gets by far the longest list.
- 4Three new generator puzzles and two new map objectives.
- 5Two events listed in the 5.3.0 notes: an x2 EXP event and 40% off all skins and emotes.
Everything else is smaller: a betting system for spectators, a new death screen, map variants, bug fixes and two paid packs. The sections below go through each one, then the three versions one by one.
The Helperbot survivor
Helperbot is the only new playable character in this line. The 5.3.0 log describes it as "one of the newest Support characters added to the survivor roster," and the Helperbot wiki page says it was introduced in 5.3.0 on October 16, 2026. That page is still tagged as a stub, so treat the details as the wiki's current state, not final.
The numbers on the wiki page: 80 health, 12 speed, 26 sprint speed, 100 stamina, and a listed difficulty of 2. The three abilities:
| Ability | Slot | Cooldown | What the wiki says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radar | Passive | N/A | Every 12s, reveals unfinished generators and items within 100 studs to all Survivors, highlighted for 3s. Also shows Helperbot the aura of any Survivor who uses an ability, for 3s. |
| Pulse | Alt Ability 1 | 44s | After a 2s windup, an expanding pulse gives Regeneration I and Resistance I to Survivors it reaches, itself included. Level 0 is a 30-stud radius for 4s. |
| Inspire | Alt Ability 2 | 46s | After a 0.75s windup, an aura follows Helperbot for 10s. Other Survivors within 14 studs get Haste V, which speeds up their ability cooldowns. |
The two active abilities feed each other. Per the wiki, a Survivor who stays inside Inspire's area for 5.5 seconds gives Helperbot one Pulse charge (up to three stored), and each stored charge raises Pulse's radius and buff length. At level 3 the wiki lists a 39-stud radius and 7s buffs. Pulse also slows Helperbot by 10% during the windup.
Running two Helperbots in one match is penalized: each extra one shortens Pulse's buffs by 1s and lowers Inspire's Haste by a level, down to Haste I. That is the wiki's description, not something we checked.
The full stat block and ability breakdown live on the Helperbot page. The 5.3.0 log also lists 27 Helperbot skins, among them 2.0 Helperbot, Classy Helperbot, Kitty Helperbot and Tactical Helperbot. The names in that list do not all match the wiki's separate Helperbot skins page, which counts 25 shop skins, so treat 27 as the log's own tally. Browse skins on the skins page.
New lobby, NPCs and other content
The lobby is the headline piece of content. The log's wording: "Explore a brand new lobby built from the ground up which encompasses more exploration, lore, and secrets to be found!" Related lobby changes in the same notes:
- About 161 new NPCs. Survivor and killer NPCs have dialogue for different milestones.
- Different areas of the lobby have their own music themes.
- Gamepasses in the lobby prompt the correct purchase (a 5.3.1 fix).
Generator puzzles and map objectives
There are three new generator puzzles: Pop the Lock, Wires and Gear. The log also adds a Generation Size Setting under Misc, without explaining it further.
The new map objective system starts with two objectives:
- Feed the Orange (Horror Hotel): "Bring the Orange the fruit it is craving until it is full to unlock more of the map!"
- Clean Graffiti (Brandonworks): "Clean the graffiti off the walls with the Spray Bottle to unlock a secret area with rare items!"
Both are tied to a specific map. For the rest of the pool, see the maps page.
Spectating, death screen and chase music
Spectators get an LMS Betting System: while watching, you "vote on who you think is going to win" the Last Man Standing. There is a new death screen effect (with a Death Screen Enabled/Disabled setting listed under bug fixes) and a 30 Second Chase Theme: in the last 30 seconds of a round the chase theme is swapped for a different one "to apply more pressure to the players."
The log also mentions a Malice Refund System, which lets people get their malice back once a server shuts down.
Map changes
- New variants: Nightshade for Bloodfell, and Legendary for Roblox HQ.
- A Glasshouse visual revamp, killer-only elevators in Underground War, and new visuals on killer doors.
- "Dynamic Visual Additions to almost every map in the game."
- Yoricks Resting Place and Planet Voss were disabled in public map rotations.
Events and paid packs
The 5.3.0 notes open with two events: "x2 EXP Event" and "40% off on all Skins and Emotes." The log gives no start or end dates and no duration for either, so check in the game before counting on them. The one time limit it does state is for the Spooky emote, which is "Limited for only 30 days!" and will "return every Halloween."
Two paid packs launched with the update:
- Emote Pack #3 (189 Robux): limited-time emotes Bad, RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH, YAAI, Floating Meditation and Low Cortisol.
- Skin Pack #4 (349 Robux): five exclusive skins, MLG John Doe, MLG Dusekkar, MLG Guest 1337, MLG Helperbot and MLG Jane Doe.
Other emotes in the update: PlumberJig, Dancing!, Da Thang, Parrot Party and He Seems Chill. New skins outside the Helperbot set include Arcade Veeronica (with its own animations), Cat Noob and Classic 007n7, and "Boy Veeronica" became TJ Veeronica. Cosplay Survivor and Killer skins were removed and refunded, and so was Memorium Shedletsky, "as it was causing significant issues."
Balance changes by character
The 5.3.0 patch notes cover seven characters. The values below are quoted from the log; a ">" means "changed from X to Y".
Killers
Guest 666 (the log writes "Guest666" in the 5.3.0 notes and "Sixer" in 5.3.1, which is the same killer):
| Ability | Change |
|---|---|
| Base stats | Collision capsule width reduced to match other killers; sprint speed 27 > 27.5 |
| Manic Fixation | Max speed boost 10% > 7%; max out-of-chase speed boost 15% > 12%; build rate 0.1 > 0.12; decay rate 0.1 > 0.12; screen darken effect made a bit brighter |
| Hemorrhage | Status duration 120s > 100s |
| Demonic Pursuit | Minimum charge time 0.6s > 0.75s; damage is 30 total from 0.75-0.99s, 35 from 1.00-1.24s and 40 at 1.25s of charge; endlag on a miss 1.25s > 1.4s |
| Infernal Cry | Now also slows Sixer by 25% during the cast; hitbox size reduced by 8% |
| Blood Rush | Sound cue range is now global, similar to Unstable Eye |
| Blood Hunt | Base speed boost 6% > 4%; no longer shrinks Infernal Cry's hitbox; Hemorrhage damage scaling 0.4 > 0.15 per unhealable health point and it no longer counts unhealable health past the survivor's maximum; base damage up by 5 at every charge level |
The guide's own reading of the direction: most of the listed changes lower Guest 666's speed boosts, status time or damage scaling, while the sprint speed increase and Blood Hunt's extra base damage go the other way. Some entries, such as the narrower collision capsule and the build and decay rates, are not obviously a buff or a nerf, and the log does not say. See the Guest 666 page for current stats.
1x1x1x1: Mass Infection cooldown 15s > 17s, and Entanglement cooldown 15s > 18s. Both are cooldown increases. 1x1x1x1 page.
John Doe: Slash windup 0.4s > 0.35s, a faster swing. John Doe page.
Survivors
Chance: minimum health roll 55 > 70, maximum health roll 120 > 110, and the health clamp 130 > 120. The low end goes up and the high end comes down. Chance page.
Two Time:
- Stab: regular windup 0.25s > 0.3s, hitbox moved 1.5 studs forward, hitbox length reduced by 1 stud.
- Crouch: stab stun duration now scales with crouch time, "starting at 2s and reaching 3.5s after 3s of crouching."
- Pray: conversion rate 2:1 > 1.5:1.
See the Two Time page.
Jane Doe:
- Crystal Pitch: global cooldown 10s > 12s, and it can now be refreshed when triggered by the killer being stunned if the cooldown is already active.
- Hatchet: stun durations 2.5s / 3.5s / 4.5s > 2.25s / 3.25s / 4.25s; stacking penalty 20% > 30%; Shatterpoint regeneration 5 / 10 / 20 / 30 > 5 / 10 / 15 / 20.
- A fix so the initial Shatterpoint amount stacking penalty works properly.
Guest 1337: "Charge now prevents ability usage while active and for 1s after it ends." Guest 1337 page.
5.3.0: New Beginnings Events
The big release, with the wiki's entry split into Characters, Content, Skins, Music, Maps, Emotes, Animations, Misc, Patch Notes, Bug Fixes, Undocumented and Renders. Everything above comes from this version, plus a bug fix list of 41 entries. A selection:
- Fixed players randomly not getting put into the game.
- Fixed emote syncing, and the mobile Jane Doe Crystal Pitch bug.
- Fixed being able to bind PC binds to controller binds, and console support for the wire generator puzzle.
- Fixed Builderman being able to carry through walls, and Nosferatu flinging survivors on a kill.
- Fixed survivors being incorrectly revealed at the start of LMS.
- Fixed some abilities lagging the server, with Void Rush and Cataclysm named as examples.
- Mobile users should no longer be forced into Portrait Mode.
- "Ground Nova's are no longer a thing."
The "Undocumented" section lists extra skin work: redesigns of Obby John Doe, XD Slasher and Retro Slasher (with a custom intro, outro and animations), new voicelines for Cultist c00lkidd and Sinister Noli, a custom intro and SFX for k00lkidd, new SFX for all Toon killer and survivor skins, and new VFX for 1x1x1x1 and John Doe's MS4.
5.3.1: New Beginnings Hotfix
A single "Fixes" section with 25 entries, almost all aimed at what 5.3.0 introduced. Grouped:
Helperbot (11 entries). Eleven of the 25 fixes target the new survivor: four on Inspire (including the caster now getting its own Haste), two on Radar, three on Pulse and one for error spam. The last covers highlights that were "consistently visible for all Players & Killer even without a Helperbot." The full list, with each entry's exact wording, is in the Helperbot guide.
Balance (5 entries).
- "Sixer Re-Balance is now properly implemented." The log does not say what was missing before, so the 5.3.0 numbers above are the ones to go by.
- Taph's Helpless "should apply as intended now; Previously, it applied no matter what, instead of only on hit."
- Interrupting Builderman while he places something now goes on cooldown.
- MLG Dusekkar's Spawn Protection no longer bugs your walkspeed, and MLG Jane Doe's Crystal Pitch works properly.
Assets and lobby. Devesto Chase Theme, Retro Slasher's intro and outro, and Ritual SFX were all fixed after being unloaded "due to a Roblox issue". Lobby gamepasses prompt the right purchase, some lobby objects were re-anchored, and the loading screen static sits above the text.
Other. Nametags no longer spam warnings on non-characters, and you can now properly leave generators, which the log calls "an uncommon edge-case."
5.3.2: Optimizations Hotfix
The smallest version, with four entries:
- "MLG Skin Pack got a big overhaul, so if you own it check it out! More additions coming soon to the pack." The log gives no detail on what changed.
- Unnecessary instances on the client at startup were cleared out, "lowering the memory a substantial amount."
- A memory leak that crashed servers over time was fixed.
- "Various other memory leaks across the server as a whole" were fixed.
The log gives no figures for how much memory was saved or how many servers were crashing.
Where to read the full history
The wiki posts one tab per month and lists no release dates inside the log, only the month and version. The full history is on the update log page. For current stats after these changes, the killers hub and survivors hub list every character.
