Acquiring a Turtle is considerably more accessible than most pets at its rarity tier. It hatches from the Common Egg at a 3.75% rate — one of the more generous drop chances in the game — meaning players who open Common Eggs regularly should encounter one within a manageable number of attempts. The Turtle was added to Grow a Garden 2 on June 23, 2026, and is currently obtainable.

Three visual variants exist: Normal, Big, and Huge. All three share the identical +10 backpack / -2 speed trade-off, so the choice between variants is purely cosmetic. The Huge variant is the most frequently traded and carries the most prestige of the three.

Strategically, the Turtle suits players who manage large gardens or harvest crops in bulk quantities. The extra ten inventory slots reduce the number of trips needed to clear a full harvest, making long farming sessions noticeably more efficient. If your plot is positioned close to your storage point, the movement speed reduction is barely felt.
