I feel sorry for the happy, for those who cannot see and the ones who cannoth fathom such words, such a sight. Pink and green, the song of bloom and the bells of heaven. I held in my arms the heavy weight of a thousand suns, not physically but metaphorically. The likes to which I had never felt; the excruciating pain it was to bear witness to the tragedies that befall me over and over again. Time after time I waste away in the coffin of greed, watching the stars shoot like a timelapse. Recalling the sight of that woman, pink and green was all that I could make out during the fire. I held open my hand and was led to the back of an ambulance, red and white. I wore a weary smile on my face, despite the sight of horror and loss of others that had just transpired in my weakness. I wear that same smile on the day of my graduation, on the day of my wedding and on the day that I lost everything pertaining to these events. I yielded long ago to the wheel of fortune and fate, to which I was given the latter and only the latter. I spent my life reclaiming what was taken from me, and in return I get more removed from the vision so dimly operating. As I close my eyes, a feeling of regret washed over me like high tide on the sands of the beach. I woke up in a forest green and teeming with life. A heaven of sorts, but not unlike hell. I closed my eyes yet again and felt only regret, only shame and guilt for what could amount to sneaking a piece of candy from a grocery store. I mashed my hands unto my head, bashing it against the grass that laid unmoving on the ground. As I lifted my eyelids, I saw the vision of pink and green, the light of an unmoving star. The bells of heaven, the colors of the savior.
