Basketball Zero styles tier list, built from the wiki data of 24 outubro 2026
Our Basketball Zero styles tier list puts Emperor, Jackpot and Star in S, then Ace, Gold, Lock, Silver and Thief in A. It covers the 21 styles that are in the spin pool or listed as obtainable. This is our reading of the wiki's move data, not an official ranking, and every placement below says why.
| Tier | Styles | Count |
|---|---|---|
| S | Emperor, Jackpot, Star | 3 |
| A | Ace, Gold, Lock, Silver, Thief | 5 |
| B | Giant, Flash, Copycat, Izure, Valentine, Basketball Unc, Sniper, Phantom, Playmaker | 9 |
| C | Quick, Fetch, Clutch, Chuck | 4 |
The data was read on 24 outubro 2026. The style pages behind it were last edited between mid-julho and 11 outubro 2026, so a balance patch since then would not show up here. Treat the order as a starting point you can argue with.
How the placements were made
The wiki has a tier list page, but it is flagged as outdated and "being remade", so we did not copy it. We built ours from four things the wiki records for each style:
- The kit: the base moves with their cooldowns, and the awakening moves unlocked with the Awaken key (G on keyboard).
- The personalized zone: a style's own zone can change how good it is, and some of those zones are no longer in the spin pool.
- The wiki's meta note, a one-line community verdict on the style page. It is opinion, and where it is missing (Fetch, Izure) we say so.
- How easy it is to counter, from the community-written Style Counters page, which states that it is opinion and not objective advice.
One caveat changes everything for ranked players. In Ranked 1v1, abilities are disabled and only your zone works, so the style tiers below do not apply there. They matter in 2v2, 3v3 and public servers. Our zones tier list covers the 1v1 side.
The full table
Full move lists for every style are on the styles page. Spin chances use the wiki's normal-spin tiers (Rare 62%, Epic 35%, Legendary 2%, Mythic 0.5%, Miracle 0.25%, Limited 0.25%) split evenly across the styles in each tier, and the Lucky tiers (Legendary 92%, Mythic 5%, Miracle 2%, Limited 1%). The Styles page prints Mythic as 1% normal and Legendary as 93% Lucky, while style pages and the Zone page say 0.5% and 92%; we use the second set. Several infoboxes also still carry the older split (for example Phantom as 1 in 2 Epics), from before newer styles were added.

S tier
[Emperor](/games/basketball-zero/styles/emperor). The wiki's meta note calls it godly-tier with great speed, accuracy and versatility on both ends, and the kit backs that up. A three-part dribble chain (Emperor's Dribble, Emperor Drive, Emperor's Fade) opens scoring, a long pass hands the receiver roughly 20 (+30) zone meter and a fully aim-assisted forced shot, and Emperor's Reach blocks or catches a shot or dunk. The awakening adds a sphere that blocks any pass or shot, and a guaranteed-scoop cutscene finisher. The cost is time: every base move sits on a 70-second cooldown, so you get few uses per match. It was reworked on 1 agosto 2026, and it is a Miracle, so it takes luck to own.
[Jackpot](/games/basketball-zero/styles/jackpot). The meta note says it is widely considered meta, and its cooldowns are the shortest in the top tier: 35 to 40 seconds. Jackpot Steal can take the ball through some I-Frames, then turns into Lucky Pass, Lucky Stun or Lucky Dash, so a steal flows straight into offense. The awakening is a coin flip with good odds: the slot machine hits 75% of the time for 30 seconds of guaranteed steals and ankle-breaking dribbles, and the 25% miss costs 10% speed for 10 seconds. Its own Style Counters entry lists only Lock, Eclipse and Jackpot as answers, and Eclipse is no longer spinnable.
[Star](/games/basketball-zero/styles/star). Here we part with the wiki's older tier list, which had Star in A. The meta note says excellent on both ends, a strong blocker and dunker near the basket. Off the ball, Sky Leap can even catch an opponent's shot with good timing; on the ball, Super Dunk and Drive finish at the rim. The awakening unlocks Meteor Strike, Self-Oop and a repeatable Star Drive/Star Pass, which the wiki calls the most unique awakening in the game. The Ranked page lists Star, Ace and Giant as 2v2 picks because they can dunk or reach the corner of the three-point line easily. The weak spots are Sky Leap's long windup and a Sprint that can be dribbled past.
A tier
Ace. Every base move (Athletic Drive, Instinct Dash, Athletic Fade) grants I-Frames, and the awakening adds three more tools, including a steered 100% Drive that scores 2 if you end in the paint. The meta note is "decent for attackers when used well", and the weakness is real: shots are readable. It is a Mythic at about 0.10% per normal spin.
Gold. Elbow Pass and Needle Pass are unblockable, and Needle Pass ankle-breaks a nearby opponent and gives the receiver a 5-second speed boost. The meta note says it is meta for passing and dribbling through defenders. It stays out of S because the wiki also lists it as weak offensively on its own: it relies on teammates. In a stack of friends that is a plus; in random servers less so.
Lock. The meta note says best defensive style when played properly. Hands Up raises a forcefield for 3 to 5 seconds that blocks any shot, including missiles and unblockable zone dunks, at the price of heavy slowdown. The awakening, unusual in that it does not need the ball, strips the dribbler. With almost no offense it is a specialist, and the Style Counters page lists a long run of steals plus any passing style as answers to Intercept.
Silver. Back in the Miracle pool after a 25 julho 2026 rework. Skyhand blocks any shot and sends the ball to the far end, and Titan Smash is a near-unblockable dunk from the free-throw line. The awakening requires you to not have the ball and unlocks Monster Ascend, an unblockable 3 from half court. The meta note calls it the best style to goaltend with. Its personalized zone, Monster, is no longer spinnable, which is why it is not higher.
Thief. The note says one of the most used styles because it is versatile and low rarity (a Legendary, 0.40% per normal spin). Pillage copies the move an opponent just used and disables it for them. The catch is that it cannot take a Limited style's moves unless awakened or using the Devour zone, and the Style Counters page names "just use a Limited style" as the answer. Awakened Total Theft pillages almost anything for 15 seconds with no cooldown.
B tier
Giant. Great inside the three-point line and the Ranked page's 2v2 pick, but the weakness line reads "outclassed by other Mythic and higher styles". Post-Form (70 seconds) is the centerpiece; Style Counters says any pressure move can stop it.
Flash. The note praises mobility and defense. The awakened kit is the best part: SHOOT! teleports for a guaranteed shot on a 40-second cooldown, and I Have Already Won steals the ball from behind. Outside awakening it lacks defense, and any defensive style counters it.
Copycat. The note calls it a declining meta style: versatile, but it cannot copy many others. Copy and the awakening's 100% Copy let you borrow nearly anything, yet the styles it cannot copy (the wiki names Uncle Sam, Cyber, Psychic and Rubberman, among others) are where much of the Limited meta lives. The wiki's older list had it in SS; we disagree.
Izure. Added 30 agosto 2026, so it has no meta note yet. Three Instinct dribbles come on a 15-second cooldown, Last Push auto-counters any steal attempt, and the awakening needs a full meter built from the Instinct dribbles. Limited defense and some erratic dribbles that can send you out of bounds hold it back. Provisional.
Valentine. A balanced Limited, rated decent. The awakening gives the team a 30-second dribbling speed buff and a pass-through-clones dunk that is unblockable and uninterceptable, worth up to 9 points. Flag Breaker is the only real offense, and two of its moves are described as confusing to use.
Basketball Unc. Decent for scoring and preventing buckets. Cane Effect gives a 50% drop chance on an off-ball hit; the awakened Unc Block leaves the ball loose, so the opponent can grab it back.
Sniper. The wiki's own words: it looks strong on paper but is easy to counter without the right zones. Perfect Arc is a guaranteed long shot on the opponent's half, blockable and faster with each make. Pair it with Animalistic or Limitless and it climbs; we cover that in the combos guia.
Phantom. Good for team players because it can pass instantly to anyone. Bullet Pass cannot be stolen, and Phantom cannot really shoot. It is one half of a chemical reaction with Star.
Playmaker. Rated an excellent play-creating style: Nutmeg buys time and the Alley Oop is hard to block. Little defense. At 11.7% per normal spin it is easy to own.
C tier
Quick. The wiki describes consistent speed and no true offensive or defensive ability. The Emperor Vision page lists Quick among the styles that can close the distance to trigger that zone's miss chance, and the community Builds page pairs it with offensive zones, or dunk-based ones in 2v2.
Fetch. Dive grabs loose balls, and the Floater is only worth 2 and easy to predict. It earns a footnote: the Style Counters page picks Fetch as one answer to Gold.
Clutch. The starter style, free when you first join. Beginner-friendly, with weaker moves than the rest.
Chuck. Heat Check gains range with each make, but Dribble King and Let Me Cook! both flip a 50% coin to fail. The wiki calls it luck-based.
A separate note on Limited styles
Valentine is the only Limited in this table because it is the only one the wiki lists as spinnable. About 32 other Limited styles exist, and they leave the pool after roughly a week. That matters for tiers because the community lists lean on them: for 3v3 the Ranked page names Psychic, Chrollo, Tatlis, Copycat, Emperor, Symbiote and Vampire, and five of those seven are Limited or former Limited styles. If you can only reach the spin pool, the S and A tiers above are the realistic ceiling. How a Limited reaches you is in our Limited styles guia, and the stock is on the Black Market page.
FAQ
What is the best style in Basketball Zero right now?
Among the 21 styles in the spin pool, we put Emperor, Jackpot and Star in S tier, based on the wiki's move data read on 24 outubro 2026. This is our reading rather than an official ranking, and Limited styles outside the pool often rank higher in community lists.
Which Basketball Zero style is best for beginners?
Clutch is the free starter style and the wiki calls it beginner-friendly, but we rank it C because its moves are weaker. Playmaker and Phantom are better B-tier picks once you own them, since both are common Epics at 11.7% per normal spin.
Are Rare styles worth using?
For raw strength, mostly no: Quick, Clutch and Chuck all sit in our C tier. Rares cannot be rolled with Lucky Spins, and a normal spin lands Rare or Epic 97% of the time.
How rare is each style tier?
Per normal spin: Rare 62%, Epic 35%, Legendary 2%, Mythic 0.5%, Miracle 0.25%, Limited 0.25%. Lucky Spins skip Rare and Epic and give Legendary about 92%, Mythic 5%, Miracle 2% and Limited 1%.
Do these tiers apply in Ranked 1v1?
No. The Ranked page says abilities are disabled in 1v1, so only your zone matters there. The tiers apply to 2v2, 3v3 and public servers.
