About Darkness
Walking with the ball is quicker under Darkness, dunk range is bigger and you may dribble one more time. The wiki is explicit that the speed gain is for walking only: it does not make your dribbles go faster or travel further, which separates it from zones like Speed Dribble.
It debuted with the Symbiote style in the Spider VS Symbiote update of 23 August 2025. Symbiote is a Limited Small Forward whose quote says there is no one left to save. Tendril Dribble latches onto an opponent in front and ragdolls them, while Tendril Snatch takes the ball from an opponent's hands even through I-Frames. The wiki describes the style as a defensive playmaker, yet it recommends Darkness for offensive styles because of the general offensive passives.
Darkness used to roll at 0.25% (about one in 400 spins) or 1% with Lucky Spins while its Limited banner ran. The wiki says it could come back through the Black Market, where such zones are usually $1,000,000 each, with price and stock rotating.
