The Halloween update for Grow a Garden 2 went live on October 1, 2026, and it follows the same pattern as the Fall Harvest before it: a second map reached through the Explorer Stand, its own currency, its own shops and a long list of themed seeds, gears, pets and crates. The new map is called Ghoul Garden, the currency is Candy Corn, and the centrepiece is a Witch's Cauldron that turns monster drops into seeds and costumes. This guide collects what the community wiki documents about the update. Several wiki pages for the new items are still marked as stubs, so this article only states what is written there and flags the gaps instead of guessing. No numbered patch entry for the Halloween update appears on the wiki's update log yet, whose last row is version 1.20.0 from July 19, 2026.

Ghoul Garden: how the map works
According to the wiki, Ghoul Garden is not a separate Roblox experience. It is a place inside Grow a Garden 2 with its own save data, almost the same layout as Garden Valley but dressed for Halloween. You reach it through the Explorer Stand, the same route the Fall Harvest used. Like that map, it is temporary, although the wiki has not filled in how many days it will stay.
Candy Corn works the way Leaf did in the Fall Harvest. You earn it from selling crops, selling pets or stealing, and you spend it in the map's own Seed Shop, Gear Shop and Props Shop. Prices in those shops are written in Candy Corn, with Robux alternatives for many items.
The Witch's Cauldron
The cauldron is the new crafting mechanic. The wiki says you can only brew at night, that a failed brew still consumes the ingredients, and that only 3 of the 8 possible recipes are shown at a time, with the selection refreshing every 30 minutes. If a brew fails, you get a 10-second window to rescue it with a Cauldron Charm.
The ingredients come from monsters. A monster spawns every 1 to 4 minutes, up to 4 at a time, and you defeat them with the Shovel. Giant Spiders (40% spawn chance, 2 hits) drop Web 55% of the time, Skeletons (40%, 3 hits) drop Bone 55% of the time, and Zombies (20%, 5 hits) drop Brain 45% of the time. Pumpkin Guts, the fourth ingredient, comes from Pumpkin Smash, where two pumpkins per player spawn every 25 seconds. The Pumpkin Smash reward table lists Pumpkin Guts at 55%, 300 Candy Corn at 12.5%, and Carrot, Strawberry and Blueberry seeds at 5%, 4.375% and 3.125%.
The eight recipes, with craft time and failure chance as listed:
- Spirethorn Seed: 2 Web and 1 Pumpkin Guts, 5 minutes, 5% to fail.
- Witch Hat Costume: 2 Web, 1 Bone and 1 Pumpkin Guts, 6 minutes, 15% to fail.
- The Bone: 2 Brain, 2 Bone and 1 Web, 7 minutes, 30% to fail.
- Witch's Broom: 2 Brain, 2 Web and 1 Bone, 7 minutes, 30% to fail.
- Dead Oak Seed: 3 Brain, 2 Bone and 1 Web, 8 minutes, 40% to fail.
- Night Shade Seed: 4 Brain, 2 Bone and 1 Web, 9 minutes, 55% to fail.
- Briar Rose Seed: 4 Brain, 3 Bone and 1 Web, 10 minutes, 70% to fail.
- Halloween Pack: 4 Brain, 3 Bone and 1 Pumpkin Guts, 10 minutes, 70% to fail.
The pattern is easy to read: the cheap recipes are safe, and the rare outputs cost more materials and fail more often. Briar Rose is currently marked unreleased on the wiki, so treat that row with caution.
New crops
The update adds 24 Spirit crops, which are Halloween versions of the base crops, plus a handful of original seeds. Spirit crops are sold in the Ghoul Garden Seed Shop for Candy Corn, and prices rise steeply with rarity. The wiki lists Spirit Carrot at 1 Candy Corn (100% stock chance), Spirit Strawberry at 10, Spirit Blueberry at 25, Spirit Apple at 400 (52.63%), Spirit Corn at 2,500 (35%), Spirit Banana at 30,000 (9%), Spirit Dragon Fruit at 120,000 (4%), Spirit Cherry at 1,200,000 (2.274%), Spirit Sunflower at 5,000,000 (1.787%), Spirit Venus Fly Trap at 7,000,000 (1.43%), Spirit Poison Apple at 25,000,000 (0.533%) and Spirit Venom Spitter at 30,000,000 (0.475%), the most expensive of the group.
The original seeds are different. Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom are Super-tier crops sold for 150,000,000 Candy Corn or 1,599 Robux, each with a 0.2% chance to stock. Candied Cornflower is a Mythic multi-harvest crop that only comes from the Halloween Pack, at 0.5%. Dead Oak (Legendary), Night Shade (Legendary) and Spirethorn (Rare) are cauldron recipes. The wiki also lists Soul Skull as an unreleased Secret crop with a 0.533% stock chance and no price yet.
Gears
Fourteen gears arrive with the update. The practical ones are the Cider sprinklers and watering cans, which replace the Fall Harvest Syrup line. The Cider Watering Can costs 2,000 Candy Corn with a 90% stock chance and boosts growth speed while removing decay from a crop. The Super Cider Watering Can costs 1,000,000 and is described as speeding up growth by 300x. The Cider Sprinklers come in several tiers: Common (3,000 Candy Corn, 50% stock, 1.5x growth), Uncommon (10,000, 35%, 2x), Rare (80,000, 25%, 3x) and Super (3,000,000, 1.2%, 5x growth), each with a bonus to large plant sizes and a 2-minute duration. The Legendary Cider Sprinkler costs 1,200,000 at a 4% stock chance, but the wiki's usage line for it repeats the Common values, so its real multiplier is unconfirmed.
The Halloween-specific gears are more interesting:
- Candy Basket (Legendary, 2,000,000 Candy Corn, 2.17% stock): lets you trick or treat on houses. It has a 75% chance to succeed and then restocks the Seed Shop (Sam), the Gear Shop (George) or the Props Shop crates (Charlotte) early, or refreshes the Daily Deal cooldown (Steven). A failure triggers a one-second jumpscare, and the gear is consumed.
- The Bone (Legendary, 300,000, 10.8%): become the Werewolf for 30 seconds and steal from anyone. Consumed on use.
- Witch's Broom (Legendary, 3,000,000, always in stock): ride a flying broom for 30 seconds with a 60-second cooldown.
- Bat Charm (Mythic, 5,000,000, 1%): become a flying bat for 3 minutes.
- Necromancer Staff (Mythic, 5,000,000, 1%): claim every wild pet on the map at once, for free, and the gear is consumed.
- Cauldron Charm (Mythic, 10,000,000, 0.56%): rescue a failed brew.
- Witch Hat Costume (Legendary, 2,000,000): adds a costume to a pet permanently.
Pets and the Exclusive Halloween Egg
Twelve pets join the game. Four come from the Exclusive Halloween Egg, a Secret-tier egg: Gargoyle at 50.24%, Skeleton Horse at 39.88%, Dire Wolf at 9.47% and Frank at 0.39%. Every pet in the egg has a 10% chance of hatching Big, 0.1% Mega and 5% Rainbow.
- Gargoyle perches over the garden and has a base 35% chance to turn a thief to stone for 4 seconds, rising to 70% for Big and 90% (the cap) for Mega.
- Skeleton Horse hunts skeletons within 60 studs on a 60-second cooldown, and each kill pays 300 Candy Corn.
- Dire Wolf summons 5 wild animals when a moon rises (8 for Big, 12 for Mega), and its howl has a 3% chance to bring a Blood Moon.
- Frank chains a lightning strike to 3 more fruit on a 90-second cooldown, halved for Big.
The other eight spawn on the Ghoul Garden map and are bought with Candy Corn: Ghost Dog (11.9%, 30,000), Black Cat (7.14%, 50,000), Black Crow (4.29%, 100,000), Bat (2.38%, 1,200,000), Tarantula (0.225%, 10,000,000), Vampire Fox (0.1%, 10,000,000), Mummy (0.034%, 30,000,000) and Centipede (0.012%, 90,000,000). Their abilities range from turning you invisible for 30 seconds every 5 minutes (Ghost Dog) to stunning thieves for 2 seconds (Bat), webbing attackers so they drop an item (Tarantula) and stealing seeds from other players at night (Vampire Fox). The Centipede is the strongest by rarity: it steals from empty gardens, bites thieves and adds +5 walk speed.
Crates and props
Three prop crates arrive in the Props Shop, all paid with Candy Corn. The Gravestone Crate (Uncommon, 35,000) drops Round Top Gravestone 41.38%, Cross Gravestone 37.93% and Casket 20.69%. The Halloween Prop Crate (Uncommon, 97,500) has eight possible props, from Pumpkin and Skull Carpet at 16% each down to Halloween Lamp at 6%. The Fog Machine Crate (Legendary, 500,000) gives Fog Machine 80%, Big Fog Machine 17% and Mega Fog Machine 3%.
What happened to the Fall Harvest
The Fall Harvest was the previous themed map, introduced in early August 2026 and described by the wiki as staying for 60 days. Its items (Maple crops, Syrup gears, the Fall prop crates and the Dog, Fox, Wolf and other pets) are now marked unobtainable on the wiki, and the Cornucopia Quests feature was exclusive to it. If you were saving Leaf, it only mattered inside that map.
Codes
Four codes are listed as active at the time of writing: TEAMGREENBEAN, WATERYOPLANTS, REMEMBERTODRINKWATER and FREESEED. Each pays out different items depending on which map you redeem it in, and FREESEED requires inviting 3 friends to your server. Always check the in-game codes menu, because a code can stop working without notice.
