The Halloween update turned the Grow a Garden 2 Seed Shop into a spooky one. The Ghoul Garden sells a full set of Spirit crops (ghostly versions of the usual plants), plus a handful of special Halloween plants such as the Great Pumpkin and the Vampire Bloom, and a seed pack that can drop a mythic flower. This guide lists every seed, how to get it, how rare it is and which ones look like the best targets, based on the Grow a Garden 2 Fandom wiki.

The wiki dates these crops to October 1, 2026. Several of the pages are still stubs and the wiki can change after patches, so we show the latest numbers published, not tested results.
Three ways to get Halloween seeds
- 1The Ghoul Garden Seed Shop. It sells the Spirit crops, the Great Pumpkin and the Vampire Bloom for Candy Corn (some also for Robux).
- 2The Witch's Cauldron. You brew Spirethorn, Dead Oak and Night Shade seeds from monster drops. See our cauldron recipe guide.
- 3The Halloween Pack. A seed pack sold for Robux (or brewed in the cauldron).
You reach the Ghoul Garden through Ethan at the Explorer Stand. The wiki also says you earn Candy Corn by selling crops or pets, or by stealing, which we cover in the Candy Corn guide.
The Ghoul Garden Seed Shop
The shop sells 24 Spirit crops and two Super crops. Here is the whole list, ordered by rarity, with the price in Candy Corn and the chance that it is stocked on each restock.

The Spirit Carrot costs just 1 Candy Corn and is always stocked, so you can start planting from your first minute in the Ghoul Garden.
The special Halloween crops
Spirethorn, Dead Oak and Night Shade

These three are multi-harvest crops that you get from the cauldron. The Spirethorn is rare, while the Dead Oak and Night Shade are legendary. Their recipes are 2 Web and 1 Pumpkin Guts for Spirethorn, 3 Brain, 2 Bone and 1 Web for Dead Oak, and 4 Brain, 2 Bone and 1 Web for Night Shade, with fail chances of 5%, 40% and 55%.

Great Pumpkin and Vampire Bloom

The Great Pumpkin and the Vampire Bloom are the top of the shop: multi-harvest Super crops that cost 150,000,000 Candy Corn or 1,599 Robux, with a 0.2% chance to be stocked. In other words, you may see one only once in a long while, so keep an eye on the shop if you are saving.
Candied Cornflower

The Candied Cornflower is a mythic multi-harvest crop. The wiki says it can only be obtained through the Halloween Pack, with a 0.5% chance.
The Halloween Pack

The Halloween Pack is a seed pack that came with the update. According to the wiki, there is no free-to-play way to buy it in the shop. It costs Robux (99 for one, 249 for three, 799 for ten and 3,499 for fifty) and can also be brewed in the cauldron with 4 Brain, 3 Bone and 1 Pumpkin Guts, at a 70% fail chance. The odds are:
| Seed | Chance |
|---|---|
| Spirethorn | 60% |
| Dead Oak | 30% |
| Night Shade | 9.5% |
| Candied Cornflower | 0.5% |
Looking at these odds, the average pack gives a rare Spirethorn most of the time. The mythic Candied Cornflower is a very small chance, so do not expect it in a handful of packs.
Which crops look best?
The wiki crop pages list an average value for each plant. We copied the figures that our crop pages show for the Halloween crops. The wiki does not explain the unit on these pages, so compare them with each other and not with other games.
| Crop | Rarity | Average value on the wiki | Average weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great Pumpkin | Super | 14,000 | 9 kg |
| Spirit Mushroom | Epic | 13,000 | 5 kg |
| Candied Cornflower | Mythic | 7,000 | 7.5 kg |
| Vampire Bloom | Super | 4,000 | 9 kg |
| Spirit Venom Spitter | Mythic | 3,800 | 9 kg |
| Spirit Venus Fly Trap | Mythic | 3,000 | 3 kg |
| Night Shade | Legendary | 2,000 | 9 kg |
| Spirit Sunflower | Legendary | 1,750 | 6 kg |
| Dead Oak | Legendary | 900 | 7.5 kg |
| Spirit Poison Apple | Mythic | 900 | 2.25 kg |
One thing stands out: the Spirit Mushroom is Epic and costs only 15,000 Candy Corn, yet its listed value is the second highest. That makes it a very interesting value pick compared to the Mythic Spirit crops, which cost millions. The Ghoul Garden table also gives the Mushroom a lower stock chance (9.092%) than the Green Bean (15%), even though the Green Bean costs more. This is our reading of the wiki numbers, so check the crop pages in case the values change.

What to buy at each budget
Stock chances matter as much as price. A crop with a 100% chance is always there, while a crop at 2% may skip many restocks. This table groups the shop by how much Candy Corn you have, using only the prices and chances above.
| Your Candy Corn | Good targets | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 | Spirit Carrot, Strawberry, Blueberry, Tulip, Tomato | Always or almost always stocked and very cheap |
| 1,000 to 50,000 | Spirit Bamboo, Corn, Cactus, Pineapple, Mushroom, Green Bean | Rare and Epic crops, with the Mushroom as a value pick |
| 50,000 to 1,000,000 | Spirit Grape, Coconut, Mango, Acorn, Dragon Fruit | Epic and Legendary crops with 2% to 7% stock chances |
| 1,000,000 to 30,000,000 | Spirit Cherry, Sunflower, Venus Fly Trap, Pomegranate, Poison Apple, Venom Spitter | Top Legendary and Mythic crops, rare in stock |
| Over 100,000,000 | Great Pumpkin, Vampire Bloom | Super crops, also sold for 1,599 Robux each |
Things that are not available yet
Two Halloween plants show up on the wiki but are not released, so do not spend time looking for them:
- Soul Skull. A secret multi-harvest crop that the wiki marks as unreleased. Its page lists a stock chance of 0.533% but the price is still "TBA".
- Briar Rose. A mythic crop marked as unreleased. The wiki describes an invisibility effect when you touch the underside of its produce, but says it cannot be obtained through normal gameplay.
A simple planting plan
- 1Buy the cheap Spirit crops first (Carrot, Strawberry, Blueberry and Tulip) to start earning Candy Corn.
- 2Use the money to buy the Epic crops that are in stock, with the Spirit Mushroom as the first target.
- 3Craft Spirethorn in the cauldron if you have Web and Pumpkin Guts, because it has just a 5% fail chance.
- 4Save for the Legendary and Mythic crops only after your garden is full.
- 5Keep an eye on the Super crops. A 0.2% stock chance is rare, but 150,000,000 Candy Corn is also a lot of saving.
Quick questions
Can I buy the Great Pumpkin with Robux? Yes, the wiki lists 1,599 Robux for both the Great Pumpkin and the Vampire Bloom.
Is the Halloween Pack free? No. The wiki says there is no free-to-play way to buy it, although you can brew one in the cauldron.
Are Spirit crops different from normal ones? The wiki lists them as separate crops with their own prices, rarities and stock chances in the Ghoul Garden.
