Grow a Garden 2 Candy Corn: How to Earn and Spend

Guide
By RBLXGUIDESunday, October 11, 20267 min read

Quick Summary

How to earn Candy Corn in the Ghoul Garden, how to protect it from thieves, a price ladder for seeds, gear and pets, and the odds of the three Halloween prop crates.

Candy Corn is the currency of the Halloween map in Grow a Garden 2. Every seed, gear, wild pet and prop crate in the Ghoul Garden is priced in it, and the prices run from a single Candy Corn for a Spirit Carrot up to 150,000,000 for the biggest seeds. This guide explains how the wiki says you earn Candy Corn, which tricks give the most, what you can lose to thieves and how to plan what to buy, including the three prop crates and what is inside each.

Candy Corn
Candy Corn

Everything here comes from the Grow a Garden 2 Fandom wiki, which dates the Ghoul Garden to October 1, 2026. Some pages are stubs and values can change with patches, so we show the latest numbers published and not tested results. You enter the Ghoul Garden by talking to Ethan at the Explorer Stand.

How you earn Candy Corn

The wiki's Ghoul Garden page says Candy Corn is a new currency in this map and that it can be obtained by selling crops, selling pets or stealing. Beyond that basic rule, the item pages list several smaller sources.

SourceWhat the wiki says
Selling cropsThe main way to earn
Selling petsAnother main way to earn
StealingAlso gives Candy Corn
Pumpkin Smash12.5% chance for 300 Candy Corn from a smashed pumpkin
Skeleton Horse petA skeleton kill pays 300 Candy Corn
Vampire Fox pet35% chance to snatch Candy Corn equal to 0.5% of a victim's balance
Bat petIts bite takes Candy Corn equal to 0.5% of the thief's balance

The wiki does not publish a full conversion table for how much a crop sells for in Candy Corn. For crop value on the wiki, check the crop pages and, to plan what to plant, our Halloween seeds guide.

Pumpkin Smash

According to the wiki, every 25 seconds 2 pumpkins per player can appear around the map. The rewards are Pumpkin Guts (55%), 300 Candy Corn (12.5%), a Carrot Seed (5%), a Strawberry Seed (4.375%) and a Blueberry Seed (3.125%). It is a small bonus, but you can do it while you walk. The Pumpkin Guts are also an ingredient for the Witch's Cauldron, as we show in the cauldron guide.

Pets that help

Skeleton Horse
Skeleton Horse

The Skeleton Horse is the one pet whose wiki page names a direct payout. It hunts skeletons within 60 studs, each kill takes about 8 seconds, and the kill rewards 300 Candy Corn. Its base cooldown is 60 seconds, shortened by boosts. The Vampire Fox is the opposite kind of helper: at night it steals seeds from other players for you, and has a chance to take a slice of their Candy Corn too, but only if it gets home with the haul.

The Daily Deal and the Candy Basket

The wiki's Mechanics page explains that at the Sell Stand a Daily Deal option can offer a flat price of 2.2x the crop's base value (or 2.2x the inventory value), and it can be used one time every twelve hours. The Candy Basket gear can refresh that cooldown when you trick or treat Steven at the Sell Stand. The bonus from the basket is capped at 2,000,000 Candy Corn. The basket costs 2,000,000 Candy Corn, succeeds 75% of the time and gives you a 1-second jumpscare when it fails, so it is a gamble.

Stealing and protecting your Candy Corn

The wiki says that at night players can steal from other plots, stealing is free, and the victim can hit the thief with a Shovel to retrieve the fruit. Because stealing is one of the sources of Candy Corn, it also means other players can try the same on you. Several Halloween pets are made to protect you:

PetHow it helpsSource
Gargoyle35% chance to petrify a thief for 4 secondsExclusive Halloween Egg
BatBites and stuns a thief for 2 secondsWild, 1,200,000 Candy Corn
TarantulaWebs a robber and forces them to drop an itemWild, 10,000,000 Candy Corn
CentipedeBites thieves until they drop your fruitWild, 90,000,000 Candy Corn

You can read about all of them in the Halloween pets guide.

The three Halloween prop crates

The Props Shop in the Ghoul Garden sells crates of decorations. Props are cosmetic, so they do not change how fast you earn, but they make your plot look spooky. The wiki lists these three.

If you want the cheapest way to decorate, the Gravestone Crate has the best odds of getting something you can use right away, with only three possible props. If you want variety, the Halloween Prop Crate has the most.

A sensible spending order

This is our own reading of the wiki numbers, not tested advice.

  1. 1Start with the always-stocked seeds. The Spirit Carrot, Strawberry, Blueberry and Tulip are at 100% stock and cost at most 40 Candy Corn.
  2. 2Grab a Cider Watering Can early. At 2,000 Candy Corn it is the cheapest growth tool.
  3. 3Choose one protector pet. The Gargoyle needs luck at the Exclusive Halloween Egg, while the Bat is a wild pet that costs 1,200,000.
  4. 4Save the Candy Basket for later. Its bonus is capped at 2,000,000 on the Daily Deal, so it makes sense once your balance is large.
  5. 5Buy crates last. They are cosmetic and do not speed up your earning.

Quick questions

Does Candy Corn carry over to Garden Valley? The wiki does not say it does. The Magic Mail gear can send items back to your Garden Valley mailbox, but it does not mention currency.

What is the cheapest way to start? Buy the 1 Candy Corn Spirit Carrot seed and sell the crop.

Is there a free source? Yes. Selling crops, selling pets and smashing pumpkins are all listed as ways to earn Candy Corn, and none of them is listed with a Robux price.

Which purchase gives the most Candy Corn back? The wiki does not publish a return rate for any item. The only direct payout it names is the 300 Candy Corn per kill from the Skeleton Horse, so compare prices first and treat everything else as a guess.

Do the expensive seeds pay off? The wiki lists an average value for each crop, but it does not explain the unit, so we cannot calculate a payback time. Our seeds guide compares the listed values side by side.

Key Takeaways

  • Plant seeds, harvest crops, and sell them for Sheckles to grow your garden.
  • Multi-harvest crops and higher rarities earn far more over time.
  • Gold and Rainbow mutations multiply a crop's sell value โ€” chase them for big profit.
  • Redeem the latest codes for free seeds and rewards.
