The King Update landed in Sailor Piece on June 14, 2026, and it is one of the biggest content drops the game has seen — two new islands, a full elemental upgrade path, three boss fights, new weapons, and a wave of cosmetics and titles to chase.
What's New in the King Update
Sea 2 expands with two distinct destinations. Gilgamesh Island is a battle-heavy zone centered around the legendary king himself, while Frost Empress Island brings icy terrain and a powerful new ruler to topple. Both islands come with their own bosses — Gilgamesh and the Frost Empress — each dropping weapons exclusive to their respective domains. Beating Gilgamesh rewards the Gilgamesh V2 melee, a heavy hitter with a reworked moveset, and clearing Frost Empress Island unlocks the Frost Empress sword, a blade tuned for aggressive mid-range play.
On the cosmetics front, the update adds three new accessories: the Light Halo, the Gilgamesh Crown, and the Frost Scarf. Three new titles — Bearer of Light, King of Babylon, and Frozen Monarch — round out the prestige rewards for players who push all the way through the content.

How to Unlock Light V2
Light V2 is the update's marquee progression unlock, and it follows a dedicated path you cannot shortcut. First, you need to locate and clear the new Light Raid — a dedicated arena encounter with its own NPC and wave structure that rewards accessories and a new aura on completion. Defeating enemies throughout the raid drops Light Fragments, the currency you need to progress further.
Once you have cleared the raid and banked enough fragments, you face the Light Guardian boss, the gatekeeper for the upgrade itself. The Light Guardian is a step above a standard world boss — come prepared with solid gear and a tested build. Beating it while holding the required fragments completes the Light V2 unlock and permanently upgrades your Light ability with enhanced visuals and expanded combat reach.
The Light Raid is replayable, so farming it is also the fastest route to the accessories and aura it drops — two strong reasons to run it repeatedly even after you have Light V2 in hand.
