★ is the first rung of a three-aura star ladder, and it only exists inside the Dreamspace biome. According to the Sol's RNG Wiki it is a Unique tier aura with a native chance of 1 in 100, and it cannot be rolled outside Dreamspace at all. At luck 1x that works out to about 100 rolls on average once the biome is up, and around 10 rolls with 10x luck.
The wiki also lists the alternate title Lucidity for it. In its current version the player stands over a rising magenta square portal, with a bright pink star glowing on the chest, a halo above the head and a star effect that keeps growing behind them. The older version was far simpler: only a black-outlined five-pointed star floating over the player. It has no abilities, so its appeal is purely cosmetic.
