About Hellbound
Hellbound is the Exalted-tier way to farm Hell. It was added in Eon 1-23 by 7rv1x and SPLOOCHHH with a breakthrough chance of 1 in 85,000,000, but inside the Hell biome the odds are 1 in 14,166,666. So at 1x luck you need about 85 million rolls anywhere or 14 million in Hell, and roughly a tenth of that with 10x. It shares its general rarity with Harnessed : Elements.
According to the Sol's RNG Wiki, the player has two small wings that shine orange and yellow, flying toward a floating orb of light with the right hand outstretched. Each hand is tied to a chain that leads to a portal-like orange circle on the floor with a sigil in the middle. The wiki says the floor texture is shared with Felled.
Behind the scenes, the aura was first made in 2024 and redesigned three times before going into the game, and its song is the theme of Calamitas from the Terraria Calamity mod. The music reportedly loops back at about 5:43. Hades and Hellborn are its closest Hell-related neighbors.
