Steal a Brainrot Beginner Guide

Level 1 to 700 — updated for April 2026.

Steal a Brainrot is a tycoon game where you collect 'brainrots' (passive-income units), fuse them, and defend your collection from rival players. This beginner guide covers your first hour, your first rebirth, and the trades you should never accept.

First 30 minutes: build the income engine

Spawn, claim a base, and buy the first three Common brainrots. Their combined income lets you reach the next price tier in about 8 minutes. Don't waste cash on the lower-tier gears yet.

When the conveyor offers you a Rare brainrot, buy it immediately even if you have to skip a Common round. Income/sec compounds — every minute spent at low income costs you future income.

Stealing and defending

Once you have ~$10k/sec, you become a worthwhile target. Equip a defensive gear (Slap Glove early, Iron Slap mid) and stay near your base during peak hours.

When you steal, prioritize Mythics and Brainrot Gods. Stealing Commons is just XP for the victim — it's not worth the cooldown.

Mutations: how the multiplier stacks

Each brainrot can have one mutation. Mutations multiply income, not flat-add it. A 5x mutation on a $1M/s brainrot is worth a 5x mutation on a $100/s — proportional, but the absolute gain is larger on the bigger base.

Hold mutated Mythics. Sell mutated Commons unless you're farming for a specific challenge. Use the Mutations table on this site to compare multipliers at a glance.

When to first rebirth

Rebirth resets your cash and most brainrots in exchange for a permanent income multiplier. The first rebirth is best done at ~$50M total cash banked — not before. Earlier rebirths waste the curve; later rebirths waste real-time minutes.

After your first rebirth you unlock new gears and a higher rarity ceiling. Plan your second rebirth at $250M.

Trades to refuse

Never trade a mutated Brainrot God for a stack of unmutated Mythics. Always check the trade with the WFL calculator first.

Don't accept 'I'll send first, you send after' from someone you don't know. Use middlemen with verified Discord history if available, otherwise no-trust trades only.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best brainrot to buy first?

The cheapest Common in the rotation. The compounding income matters far more than the specific brainrot you pick at level 1.

When should I first rebirth in Steal a Brainrot?

Around ~$50M total cash banked. Doing it sooner wastes the curve; doing it later is wasted real-time grind.

How do I avoid getting stolen from?

Equip Slap Glove or Iron Slap early, stay near your base during peak hours, and avoid being AFK with valuable brainrots in your collection.
