Earning a Skeleton trait on any brainrot is a meaningful upgrade — the x3 income multiplier triples that character's passive cash-per-second output, placing it solidly in the mid-to-high tier of the trait spectrum. For context, minor traits like Sleepy actually cut income (x0.5) and most early traits hover around x1.5–x2, while the legendary x9 Strawberry sits at the very top. Skeleton punches well above the common range and makes a noticeable difference when stacked on a high-base-value brainrot.

Skeleton belongs to the seasonal category, meaning it is only available during the limited Extinct Event — a dried-out fossil landscape that appears on a fixed rotation roughly every two hours. While that event is active, any brainrot that naturally spawns in-world has a random chance of receiving the Skeleton trait automatically, so you cannot target a specific brainrot; it is purely luck-of-the-draw on each spawn cycle.

Because traits are permanent and multiply on top of whatever Mutation a brainrot already carries, a Skeleton-trait brainrot is a genuinely attractive trade commodity — especially on a strong base brainrot. If you land one during the Extinct Event, keep it protected on your base and watch for thieves, since rivals will absolutely target a tripled-income brainrot the moment they spot it.
