Landing a Sombrero trait is one of the more meaningful upgrades you can score in Steal a Brainrot. At x5 income, it quintuples whatever cash-per-second a brainrot was already generating — sitting comfortably above the minor x1.5–x2 tier and well above the painful x0.5 Sleepy trait that actively drags earnings down, though it still falls short of the legendary x9 Strawberry held by the rarest legacy pieces.

Sombrero belongs to the country_events category, a class of traits tied to themed map events rather than permanent unlocks or holiday seasons. During an Admin Abuse event, Roblox staff spin up the Hacienda-styled map — Piñata spawning in the middle and all — and any brainrot that materializes on the Red Carpet during that window has a chance to receive the trait at random. You cannot grind your way to it on a schedule; you have to be present and lucky when staff decide to run it.

Because traits are permanent and stack directly on top of Mutation multipliers, a Sombrero brainrot paired with even a modest Mutation becomes a serious cash engine and a high-value trade target. Keep it on your base wisely — rivals will absolutely run in to steal it the moment your defenses slip.
