Belonging to the natural_events category, it is applied randomly to any brainrot that happens to spawn while storm clouds roll in and rainfall covers the map. Unlike OG traits (legacy rarities earned from the original Red Carpet runs) or seasonal traits (tied to limited holiday events), natural_events traits like Wet appear whenever the game's weather system triggers a rain cycle, making them somewhat accessible but never fully predictable.

The x1.5 income multiplier bumps a brainrot's passive cash-per-second output by half again. In the broader trait hierarchy that is a modest gain — the ceiling sits at a towering x9 with top-tier OG traits like Strawberry, while the only trait that actually hurts income is the x0.5 Sleepy. Wet sits alongside other entry-level multipliers in the x1.5–x2 band, meaning it adds real value without making a brainrot a crown jewel.

That said, every trait is permanent and stacks directly on top of any Mutation bonus, so a Wet brainrot paired with a strong Mutation roll becomes a noticeably more profitable target. Even a modest multiplier raises a brainrot's trade value and makes it worth defending — keep it away from the edges of your base where raiders can grab it fastest.
