Landing a Zombie trait is a significant windfall — this x4 income multiplier permanently quadruples whatever cash-per-second your brainrot would otherwise generate. That puts it well above the minor x1.5–x2 traits that most players accumulate through normal play, and comfortably clear of the dreaded x0.5 Sleepy trait that actually cuts earnings in half. It does not reach the legendary x9 of Strawberry, but x4 still places a brainrot firmly in the upper tier of trait strength and makes it a genuinely valuable piece on any base.

Zombie belongs to the admin_abuse category, a class of traits that are not tied to seasonal calendars or standing rituals — they drop during special, unannounced events run directly by the game's staff. In this case, Evil Los Tung Tungs emerge from caves and begin attacking players on the map; a colossal Tung Tung Tung Sahur looms behind the Brainrot Spawn. Any brainrot struck by an Evil Tung Tung during this chaos has a chance to receive the Zombie trait on the spot. Because these events are entirely at admin discretion, there is no reliable schedule to plan around.

Since traits are permanent and stack multiplicatively with Mutation bonuses, a brainrot carrying Zombie plus a strong mutation becomes an elite cash engine and a prime trade target. Keep it off the ground and behind solid defenses — a stolen Zombie brainrot is a painful loss that takes real luck to replace.
