Awakening (formerly Ultimate Mode) is the TSB mode that swaps your moveset for four stronger moves once a damage meter is full. The official Roblox description lists G for ultimate mode. The standard meter is 350 damage points, The Strongest Hero needs 200, and Brutal Demon needs 420 or 450 depending on which wiki page you believe. The wiki says every default character has one, with Sorcerer the stated exception.
Everything below is data we read from the community wiki on 24 octubre 2026 and organised ourselves. The wiki's actualizaciones page stops at 17 mayo 2026, so later balance changes are not reflected, and where two wiki pages disagree this guía gives both numbers.
How awakening works in The Strongest Battlegrounds
Dealing damage fills the awakening gauge. The gauge is kept if you die. The wiki's Awakening page doesn't name an activation key, which is why the official Roblox description (G) is the source for that one.
Once you activate it, three things happen according to the Awakening page. Your moveset becomes a stronger one, although individual moves can still be blocked or countered. Your speed goes up. And your health is restored to the maximum, except for The Strongest Hero and KJ. The page then contradicts itself on KJ: it says neither regains health on activation, then says KJ heals normally. The Strongest Hero instead recovers health when it lands a move on another player.
Once active, the gauge drains. The 13 septiembre 2023 actualización made the awakening bar serve as a timer so you know when it ends. For early-access characters with no finished awakening moveset, activating it only restores health to the maximum and resets cooldowns.
Smaller points from the wiki:
- Each awakening has its own music. The Strongest Hero and KJ are the only characters with no awakening aura.
- Hitting the Weakest Dummy fills the meter, but less than hitting a player does, unless you're the only person in the server.
- Every awakening except The Strongest Hero's grants i-frames that last longer than the animation. The Strongest Hero's gives armor but no invincibility during the animation.
How much damage fills the meter
| Character | Meter | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| The Strongest Hero | 200 points | Superhuman passive, down from the standard 350. Finishers fill it by a large amount |
| Brutal Demon | 420, or 450 | Brutal Demon page: 350 plus 20% (Adrenaline Rush). The Strongest Hero page: 450 |
| Most others | 350 points | The standard stated on The Strongest Hero page |
| The Frozen Soul | A full bar | No number given |
| Undying Hero | Not stated | The Unkillable awakening has no meter text |
The wiki says The Strongest Hero's meter fills fastest of all. Brutal Demon is the opposite case and has an offsetting passive: it gains about 50% of damage taken as ultimate energy (the wiki's example is 100 damage taken for 50 energy).
The 420 against 450 problem is real. The Brutal Demon page writes it twice, in the passive row and in its Cons: Pumped Up needs 420 damage rather than 350. The Strongest Hero page says the standard is 350 "applicable to all characters except Brutal Demon, which requires 450". We use 420 in this site's character data because it's on Brutal Demon's own page.
Other characters' pages mostly don't state a meter, so 350 for them rests on the single statement on The Strongest Hero's page.
Every awakening: name, duration and startup damage
| Character | Awakening (old name) | Duration | Startup damage |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Strongest Hero | Serious Mode (Serious Series) | Infinite unless you use a move or die | 0% |
| Hero Hunter | Rampage (Rage Mode) | 49 seconds | 30%, 20%, 15% or 10% by distance |
| Monster Form | Limit Breaker | 50 seconds, Cosmic Form 29 seconds | 57% (own page), 38.3% (Awakening page) |
| Destructive Cyborg | Maximum Energy Output | 47 seconds | Up to 31.5% (15.8% + 15.7%) |
| Deadly Ninja | Can You Even See Me? (Speed O' Sound) | 42 seconds | 34% (own page), 35% (Awakening page) |
| Brutal Demon | Pumped Up (Fighting Spirit) | 47 seconds | Up to 17.3% |
| Blade Master | Scorching Blade | 50 seconds | 35% in front, 11% behind |
| Wild Psychic | Berserk | 53 seconds | 20.5% (own page), 21% (Awakening page) |
| Martial Artist | Dragon's Descent (Dragon's Embrace) | 42 seconds | 20% |
| Tech Prodigy | Iron Giant | 86 seconds | 25% |
| Undying Hero | Unkillable | Not stated | 25% |
| KJ | 20 Series | Until a move ends it | 0% |
| The Frozen Soul | Sub-Zero Slash Storm | Not stated | Up to 65% (the whole attack) |
Durations are where the pages argue most. The Awakening page says the gauge takes about 45 seconds to empty for everyone except The Strongest Hero and KJ. The character pages give 42 to 53 seconds for eight characters, and none of them is exactly 45. Tech Prodigy's page gives 86 seconds, its trivia calls it the first awakening lasting almost two minutes, and another trivia line says the mech vanishes after 86 seconds with infinite awakening. Martial Artist's 42 seconds appears only in its Cons list, which says it is on par with Deadly Ninja.
KJ's row shows "Duration: 3:10" beside the theme name, but the trivia says the theme plays indefinitely and the awakening lasts until a move ends it. Undying Hero's and The Frozen Soul's pages state no duration, and neither appears on the Awakening page's table, which also lists Tech Prodigy's music as TBA.
Startup damage is what the activation animation itself deals. Hero Hunter's page labels the distances inner center, outer center, far and very far; the Awakening page says Very Close, Close, Far and Very Far. The Monster Form figure is the widest gap: its page says Limit Breaker deals the most awakening damage at 57%, the Awakening page says 38.3%.
What each awakening changes
The Strongest Hero (Serious Mode). You get armor during the clasp-hands animation, not invincibility, and no health regeneration while it lasts. The Awakening page says you can use only one awakening move. The moves are single-use, but the three M1-based extras (Serious Slap 24%, Serious Sneeze 40% and Serious Trashcan 15%) don't consume the awakening. Landing an awakening move heals you.
Hero Hunter (Rampage). The startup smash ends in a crater and has Armor Break. The Characters page calls its range and area damage mediocre for an ultimate, and says Rampage can often guarantee a kill when The Final Hunt is available as Crushed Rock or Water Stream Rock Smashing connects.
Monster Form (Limit Breaker and Cosmic Form). Limit Breaker starts with a roar that stuns nearby players. Landing Hunter's Mark, then the God Slayer Mark variant, unlocks Cosmic Form for the next awakening. Cosmic Form lasts 29 seconds and kills you when it ends.
Destructive Cyborg (Maximum Energy Output). The startup melts the ground and flame jets lift you back up. The Characters page says it generally has greater range than other characters. Incinerate is the one-time-use move.
Deadly Ninja (Can You Even See Me?). None of its moves are single-use, and side dashes become teleports. The Characters page says it has greater range, speed and damage per hit than other awakenings.
Brutal Demon (Pumped Up). The wind-up before activation is longer than other ultimates, with three bat hits to the head that create a shockwave. Death Blow is a counter. The Characters page calls Pumped Up the only moveset with an instant-kill counter, while the Brutal Demon page's trivia says it's the second, after The Strongest Hero's Death Counter.
Blade Master (Scorching Blade). The blade is lit and Blade Ignition stays active with infinite uses, so each M1 hit deals more damage. The Characters page says Atomic Slash can end a fight in one hit.
Wild Psychic (Berserk). You float for about five seconds and can't evade during the animation. The Characters page says that, like Rampage, Berserk has inferior range, except for Sky Snatcher.
Martial Artist (Dragon's Descent). A dragon dive with Armor Break, and the Draconic Uppercut throw travels much farther. The Characters page says two of its four ultimate attacks can be countered.
Tech Prodigy (Iron Giant). You become a mech with wings. Melee actions give stun immunity (grabs excepted), the guard becomes a parry that works only on other Iron Giants, and the mech M1s are slow. Nuclear Fission, Atomic Slash and Last Breath all destroy it on a hit, per their move notes.
Undying Hero (Unkillable). It's a death awakening: after you die the body reassembles when you activate the ultimate, then slams an axe down for 25% AoE. The wiki says it can be used once per life. Ultimates that disintegrate the body, such as Serious Punch, stop the revive. The Undying Hero Pros list describes it differently, saying his awakening "restores full health and resets cooldowns". Only Phantom Frenzy (up to 41%) has a written description; Sky High, Stay Put and Devastation are placeholders.
KJ (20 Series). Stoic Bomb, 20-20-20 Dropkick, Five Seasons and Unlimited Flex Works are all one-time use. The fourth requires 700 damage dealt first. The Awakening page says KJ can use at most two moves; the KJ page says Five Seasons ends the awakening even with Infinite Awakening on. The KJ page disagrees with itself here: its move table says 20-20-20 Dropkick "Does not end Awakening if missed" and Five Seasons "Can use another move before Awakening ends", and only Stoic Bomb and Unlimited Flex Works say "Ends Awakening once used".
The Frozen Soul. Sub-Zero Slash Storm needs a full bar and has no cooldown. It restores about 15% health and fully resets your base move cooldowns.
Sorcerer. No awakening. The infobox lists "Sorcerer / ?" as an awakening name, while the page's Cons say it has none and the trivia says a planned awakening was scrapped.
The awakened movesets at a glance
| Character | Awakened moves (damage, cooldown) |
|---|---|
| The Strongest Hero | Death Counter (instant kill), Table Flip (instant kill, nearest enemy), Serious Punch (12%-70%), Omni Directional Punch (instant kill). One-time use, 20 seconds with infinite awakening |
| Hero Hunter | Water Stream Cutting Fist 26.3% (8.5s), The Final Hunt 69% (one-time), Rock Splitting Fist 37.8% (14s), Crushed Rock 27% (9.5s) |
| Monster Form | Hunter's Mark 47% (22s), Great Fajin 25% or 50% charged (~21s), God Slayer 53% (~27s), Sky Ripping Fist 49.7% (~17s) |
| Cosmic Form | Nuclear Fission (50%), Singularity 71.1% (~29s), Gamma Ray Burst 87.6% |
| Destructive Cyborg | Thunder Kick 41% (15s), Speedblitz Dropkick 49% (20s), Flamewave Cannon 35% (24.8s), Incinerate 30% to 210% (one-time) |
| Deadly Ninja | Twinblade Rush 40% (20s), Straight On 30% (16.8s), Carnage 17.8% (25.2s), Fourfold Flashstrike 35% (25.2s) |
| Brutal Demon | Savage Tornado 23.5% (17s), Brutal Beatdown 50% (30s), Strength Difference 65% (62s), Death Blow 125% (one-time) |
| Blade Master | Sunset 63% (15s), Solar Cleave 29% (15.2s), Sunrise 47% (20s), Atomic Slash instant kill (one-time) |
| Wild Psychic | Cosmic Strike 52.3% (30s), Psychic Ricochet 40.5% (15s), Terrible Tornado 94.7% (one-time), Sky Snatcher 27% (17s) |
| Martial Artist | Grand Fissure up to 50% (16s), Twin Fangs 40% (15s), Earth Splitting Strike 61% (30s), Last Breath 85% (one-time) |
| Tech Prodigy | Photon Edge 51.5% (~8s), Photon Dive 65% (~25s), Conquest instant death (one-time), Missiles ~35% (~23s) |
A few of those numbers carry wiki disputes. Terrible Tornado is listed at 94.7%, but its breakdown (37% drag plus 49.2% tornado) adds to 86.2%. Death Blow is listed at 125% on its page but called an instant-kill counter on the Characters page; the trivia says it deals 125% only in a private server with a health multiplier. Incinerate reads 30% to 210%, though its text says the maximum is 70% at close range. Monster Form's Cosmic table has three rows, while the Characters page lists four Cosmic moves and the actualizaciones page only names Nuclear Fission and Singularity.
For each character's full kit, see the TSB characters pages, or the hub for the other systems.
Private servers and the Awakening Outfit pass
Private Server+ adds six awakening controls: Infinite Awakening, Instant Awakening, No Awakening, Give Awakening, Remove Awakening and Activate Awakening. They work only in your own private server.
The Awakening Outfit gamepass costs 99 Robux and swaps your avatar to a saved outfit for the length of the awakening, set per character under "Customize Awakening Outfit" in settings. It has no effect on Tech Prodigy, whose mech is a set model. The wiki adds that Crab Boss and Sorcerer can be given outfits despite having no awakening.
