Description

Black Spikey Coat is one of the equippable accessories in Blox Fruits. Accessories add fixed stat bonuses (damage, defense, mastery gain, fragment generation, fruit cooldown reduction, etc.) and stack with the rest of your gear. They're a quiet but compounding part of any high-tier build, especially in PvP where the 5-15% stat edge from optimal accessory choice frequently decides 1v1s. Black Spikey Coat occupies an accessory slot, which means it competes for build space against other items in the same category — every player can only have one item equipped per slot, so picking Black Spikey Coat is a direct trade-off against alternatives in the same category. Black Spikey Coat contributes its bonus passively as long as it's equipped — there's no cooldown or activation. The value of any accessory ultimately comes down to whether its bonus is multiplicative on a stat your build already cares about. PvP-focused players prioritize damage% accessories; raid/grinding players favor mastery-gain or fragment-generation pieces. Black Spikey Coat costs varies by source when sourced through the standard channel. Black Spikey Coat is obtained via Jeremy. Equip Black Spikey Coat when its stat bonus matches the bottleneck of your current build. New players often over-stack damage when defense or mastery would unlock more progression — pay attention to the exact stat your build needs to graduate to the next tier of content, then pick the accessory that pushes that stat fastest.

Black Spikey Coat — In-Depth Analysis

The Black Spikey Coat is a rare chest accessory in Blox Fruits that gives you a clean +7.5% damage on all attacks, plus +200 Energy and +200 Health. That damage buff stacks with every source in the game (Fruit, sword, gun, fighting style), so it's basically a free DPS upgrade for any build. The extra HP and Energy pool turn it into a true all-rounder for Second Sea progression, smoothing out grinds, raids and PvP skirmishes where you'd otherwise gas out mid-combo. It's not a Mythical, but for a Rare it punches way above its weight and fits any role: bursty Fruit mains, sword spammers or hybrid PvE farmers.

To grab one you have to farm Jeremy, the boss perched on the floating island above the Kingdom of Rose in the Second Sea, with a 10% drop rate (roughly 1 per 10 kills). Jeremy requires a Bounty/Honor of 1,000,000 to spawn, so push your stats first. Bring a strong ranged Fruit or Soul Guitar to kite his combos, and expect 5–15 runs on average.

Pair it with Ghoul Mask (+10% damage) and Swan Glasses (+7.5%) for a stacked +25% damage loadout, or swap in Cool Shades if you want movespeed instead of bulk. Compared to the Dark Coat (Mythical, +15% dmg, +600 HP/Energy, 2% from Darkbeard), the Black Spikey Coat is half the buff but five times more reliable to farm. Versus the Blue/Red Spikey Coats from the Cursed Captain (1/3 spawn lottery), Jeremy is way more consistent. Solid step-up accessory until you hit Third Sea and chase Dark Coat or Hat of the Sea King.
