Lotus Petal

Eight Lotus Petals is the price of a Lotus, and Grampy, near the end of The Outdoors, is the one who crafts it. The petal itself is a pinkish-yellow flower petal that glows purple and magenta and is surrounded by small yellow triangular particles, which makes it easy to spot on the ground.

Where petals come from

They turn up inside or on top of containers, on the ground and in Locked Crypts, which an Iron Key from the same room opens. A crypt always holds one. Petals inside containers do not glow until the container is opened once. The spawn rate rises heavily when the Caws are fed Bread during the run, and this can be done more than once.

Handling

A Lotus Petal is a minor item, so it takes no inventory space and cannot be dropped. A player can carry up to 20, the highest count of any item except Glowsticks. Collection is individual, as with Fuses: each player gets one petal from a given container. Only one player needs eight, because Grampy gives the Lotus to the whole group. Petals are also the first minor items kept across floors.

Extras

The Picking Flowers achievement is awarded when Grampy makes a Lotus for you. In the 2025 Trick or Treat event, Candy Bags replaced the petals.
