The Outdoors

The Outdoors is a subfloor of The Hotel, released on August 10, 2025, and it counts progress in meters instead of doors. Its route starts in the Greenhouse at Doors 90 and 99. You have to cut the vines with Shears or a Multitool and then use a Skeleton Key on the Skull Lock. If a modifier is active, a red barrier blocks both Hotel entrances.

Jumping to it straight from the Lobby changed on April 1, 2026: the patch made it require the Touched Grass achievement, so it is no longer free.

The Groundskeeper and Bramble

The Groundskeeper tends the area and attacks anyone who steps on the grass. His two scythe hits do 35 and 60 and do not kill, but the stomp is instant death. Stepping off the grass makes him stop, though he can still strike for a brief moment afterward. He cannot reach you inside a toolshed.

Bramble patrols The Hedge Maze and alternates between a harmless state and a dangerous one. While its lantern is on, it moves toward players it sees moving, so standing still stops the thorns, which do 3 to 5. With the lantern off, it cannot attack.

The rest of the roster

The floor also lists Caw, Mandrake, Surge, Monument, Eyestalk and Grampy. The wiki names World Lotus as the main antagonist of the subfloor.
