Cat

The Cat is an uncommon-tier pet in Grow a Garden, and its rarity badge tells you most of what you need to know about its role. Uncommon pets sit near the bottom of the ladder, which means the Cat is the kind of result you'll see frequently rather than one you specifically grind for. It's a filler hatch — pleasant to land, but not the reason anyone opens an egg.

That common status actually shapes how you should treat it. Because uncommons appear at a high relative frequency, the Cat carries little to no trade value; most players already have several, so you won't be flipping one for anything meaningful. Its honest purpose is early-game utility and roster filler while you build toward the legendary, mythical, and divine pets that actually move your garden's productivity.

My recommendation: keep one Cat for the collection and as a low-cost active companion, but don't hold a stockpile expecting future worth. If you're chasing value, the Cat is a sign you got the low end of an egg's pool — set your sights on the rarer pets in whatever egg dropped it, since that's where the real return lives. As a beginner pet, though, it does its small job fine.
