Frequently Asked Questions
How many gears are there in Grow a Garden?
There are currently 76 gears in the game, spanning every rarity tier from Uncommon basics like the Trowel and Trading Ticket up to Prismatic rarities like the Grandmaster Sprinkler, Rainbow Fertilizer, Thundelbringer, and Mega Lollipop.
What is the best sprinkler for boosting crop growth?
The Grandmaster Sprinkler is the best all-around sprinkler — it is Prismatic rarity, costs 1,000,000,000 sheckles, gives crops a 4x size multiplier, greatly boosts mutation chances and growth speed, additionally boosts nearby pet passives by the equivalent of +4 kg weight, and lasts a full 10 minutes. For budget players, the Master Sprinkler (3x, Divine, 10 million sheckles) is a strong step-up before saving for the Grandmaster.
Can you stack multiple sprinklers together?
Yes! Different sprinkler types stack additively. For example, a Basic Sprinkler (+0.25) combined with a Godly Sprinkler (+1) gives a total 3.25x size multiplier. However, two sprinklers of the same type — such as two Master Sprinklers — do not stack with each other, so always mix different tiers for maximum effect.
How does Eloise's Gear Shop rotation work?
The Gear Shop refreshes its available stock every 5 minutes, giving you a new selection of gears to browse each cycle. Six gears are always guaranteed in every rotation: Watering Can, Trowel, Recall Wrench, Trading Ticket, Favourite Tool, and Harvest Tool. Rarer gears like the Godly Sprinkler and Magnifying Glass appear randomly in the rotating slots, so check back often if you are hunting for something specific.
Which gears can only be obtained through crafting or events?
Several powerful gears require crafting or event participation to obtain. The Lightning Rod and Tanning Mirror each require combining a Basic + Advanced + Godly Sprinkler plus sheckles. The Thundelbringer (Prismatic) needs a Smith Hammer of Harvest, a Lightning Rod, plus Legendary and Divine Coal. The Chimera Stone (Divine) requires four different eggs and 500 million sheckles. Event-exclusive sprinklers like the Chocolate Sprinkler (Easter), Honey Sprinkler (Bizzy Bee), and Berry Blusher Sprinkler are only obtainable during their respective seasonal events.
