Crop Mutations — July 2026
Mutations are the single biggest multiplier on your harvest revenue. A bare crop sells for its base price, but a Gold or Rainbow mutation can multiply that by 20×, 50× or even 240× — and mutations stack, so a single fruit can carry six modifiers at once for absurd payouts.
Every entry below shows the mutation's multiplier and the conditions that trigger it. Some mutations only appear under specific weather events, others require Sprinklers or admin-only weathers. Sort by multiplier desc to find the most valuable mutations to chase, and click any name for trigger conditions and visual examples.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many crop mutations are there in Grow a Garden right now?
Our database currently tracks 229 crop mutations in Grow a Garden. Of those, 120 have a confirmed value multiplier on record, 63 are classified as Limited availability, and 57 are Standard. New mutations are added with each major update, so that number keeps climbing.
Which single crop mutation gives the highest value multiplier?
Gold Finch is the highest documented single-mutation multiplier at x500, followed by Astral at x365, Stormbound at x270, and Abyssal and Cosmic both at x240. These are all extremely rare — Gold Finch in particular is a Limited mutation tied to a specific pet.
What is the difference between Standard and Limited mutations?
Standard mutations can appear naturally at any time when the right conditions are met — for example, certain weather events or sprinklers active in your garden. Limited mutations are only possible when a specific seasonal pet, event item, or time-limited sprinkler is involved, meaning they may be unavailable for long stretches.
Can you stack multiple mutations on a single crop?
Yes, and the results are dramatic. A crop with only Golden and Shocked already hits a x2,000 multiplier. Adding Frozen brings it to x2,180, and stacking all documented compatible mutations together — including Celestial, Bloodlit, Plasma, Heavenly, and more — can push a single crop above x14,000 total value.
How can I tell if my crop has a mutation without checking a guide?
Every mutation has a distinct visual effect. Low-tier ones like Chocolate Sprinkler (x2) drip chocolate syrup, while mid-tier mutations like Corrosive (x40) turn crops green with dripping particles. High-tier ones are unmistakable: Astral (x365) releases yellow and pink stars while the crop glows in a color gradient, and Gold Finch (x500) shoots out golden sparkles. Learning these visual cues is faster than opening a menu.
