Golden

Golden is not a pet at all — it is a variant modifier, the gold-tier transformation you apply to an existing pet, and its only listed effect is that it "provides a big increase to the pet's passive." That single line is the whole point: whatever your pet already does, a Golden version does it harder.

Because the boost is multiplicative on the base passive rather than a flat number, the value of going Golden scales directly with how strong the underlying pet is. Slapping gold on a weak early-game hatch is wasted effort, but converting a top-tier coin or growth-mutation pet into its Golden form can meaningfully raise the ceiling of an endgame farm. There is no egg source and no hatch chance here — you earn it through the conversion mechanic, which makes it a deliberate investment rather than a lucky pull.

For a serious team, the rule is simple: Golden earns its slot only when applied to a pet whose passive is already worth amplifying. Use it as a finisher on your best performer, not as a fix for a mediocre one.
