About Aether : Disappointment
The joke behind Aether : Disappointment only works if you have tried to build a Nether-style portal in vanilla Minecraft. The Sol's RNG Wiki says the aura draws on the old Aether Dimension mod, whose portal never opens in the unmodded game, so the player in this aura is stuck on their knees beside a frame that does nothing. It is an Event tier aura from the April Fools 2026 update and is unobtainable now.
For the numbers, the wiki lists a base chance of 1 in 33,333,330 while the event ran and a native chance of 1 in 6,666,666 in the Heaven biome, even though plain Aether has no biome tie. At luck 1x that is about 6.7 million rolls in Heaven, and roughly 667,000 with 10x luck.
The look is a portal frame with glowstone-like texture behind the player, a floor of water, and a Minecraft-style water bucket floating nearby. A bug once hid the bucket texture above graphics level 7, and the wiki says it was fixed. Link_Cable made it.
