Quartz : Rose

“A young girl once received a strange piece of Quartz for her birthday from her mother, said to be able to grow into a beautiful flower. From there on, she made it her mission to, one day, see the flower bloom. She would water it every time its soil ran dry, and she would cut away the leaves of the garden's trees whenever they threatened to drown out the sun for the little flower. Soon enough, the Quartz would indeed transform into a strong and healthy young Rose, with petals coloured in the brightest pink the girl had ever seen. Yet, despite her best attempts and all her loving care... ...the Rose would not bloom. Still, the girl was determined to one day see it spread its petals, and so she would continue taking care of it. Until one day, when her mother grew incredibly ill. The girl did not know what to do, take care of her beloved mother, or the rose she wanted so dearly to see bloom. Alas, the choice was her mother, forcing the girl to abandon the Rose in the garden. After a few days, however, her mother felt the end approaching, so she motioned her dear daughter to come closer, and whispered into ear: "Give it your entire heart, like how I've given mine to you." The girl understood and tears began to fall from her face as her mother drew her last breath. Thus, she returned to the garden one more time, the Rose's petals already wilting. It looked hopeless, but just when the girl's tears fell onto the soil, the Rose's petals spread wide open, and a magnificent, pink light, shaped like a heart, illuminated the garden for 3 days and 7 nights.
