The Cyber mutation in Steal a Brainrot multiplies a brainrot's income by 11. It was added in Update 47 and, according to the Steal a Brainrot Fandom wiki (stealabr.fandom.com), it is no longer on a regular schedule. The wiki lists it as obtainable only through Admin Abuse events, and the Cyber Craft machine that surrounded it at launch has been removed. This guide covers what the wiki confirms about Cyber, how its multiplier combines with traits, how it compares with later mutations, and which claims that circulated at launch turned out to be wrong.
Everything below comes from the wiki and from our own copy of its mutation data. We have not tested any of it in-game.
Cyber mutation at a glance
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Multiplier | 11x |
| Type | Limited |
| Added | Update 47, April 18, 2026 |
| Look | Black and blue, with transparent or neon cybernetic patterns on parts of the body |
| How to get it (wiki) | Mild chance during the Cyber event, unobtainable without Admin Abuse |
| Event frequency | Formerly every 30 minutes (wiki, Mutations page) |
| Replaced by | Phantom mutation event, Update 53 |
The wiki's Update 47 notes also say the mutation activated hourly on weekends and every three hours on weekdays at launch, and call it the most powerful mutation at the time, ahead of Rainbow. The Mutations page uses different wording ("formerly activated every 1/2 hours"). The two entries do not agree, so treat any exact schedule as unconfirmed. What both agree on is that the activations are in the past tense.
Timeline of the Cyber event
- 1Update 47 (April 18, 2026). Cyber is added together with the Cyber Craft machine, a themed version of the Craft Machine. The wiki says it launched with 11 new brainrots, two of which were older ones.
- 2Update 48 (April 25, 2026). The Cyber Admin Machine is added, the second admin machine themed around a mutation. It shows a timer with an event, a brainrot or lucky block, and a luck multiplier. The wiki marks it as removed.
- 3Update 53. The wiki's changelog says the new Phantom mutation was added, replacing the Cyber event.
- 4Later. The Cyber Craft is marked as removed and replaced by the Summer Fuse.
Since then the wiki's mutation list keeps Cyber as a limited mutation with the note "unobtainable without Admin Abuse."
How Cyber compares with the other mutations
| Mutation | Multiplier | Wiki note on availability |
|---|---|---|
| Eclipse | 14x | Event, activated every 30 minutes |
| Crystal | 13x | Event, added in Update 59 |
| Phantom | 12x | Event, added in Update 53 |
| Cyber | 11x | Admin Abuse only |
| Divine | 10x | Admin Abuse only |
| Rainbow | 10x | 1% on the Red Carpet (the Rainbow Machine event that raised it is listed as past) |
| Cursed | 9x | Admin Abuse only |
| Radioactive | 8.5x | Admin Abuse only |
| Yin Yang | 7.5x | Admin Abuse only |
| Galaxy | 7x | Admin Abuse only |
| Lava | 6x | Admin Abuse only |
| Candy | 4x | Admin Abuse only |
| Bloodrot | 2x | Admin Abuse only |
| Diamond | 1.5x | 5% on the Red Carpet |
| Gold | 1.25x | 10% on the Red Carpet |
Cyber was the highest multiplier when it launched. Three mutations have passed it since: Phantom, Crystal and Eclipse. It is now fourth, one point above Divine and Rainbow.
How the 11x combines with traits
The wiki's Mutations page works through the math with Ventoliero Pavonero. Its examples add the mutation multiplier and the trait multipliers together, then apply the total to the base income:
- A default Ventoliero Pavonero has a 1x multiplier.
- With Cyber (11x) the multiplier is 11x.
- With Cyber and one 5x trait the multiplier is 16x.
- With Cyber and two 5x traits the multiplier is 21x.
The wiki confirms that a brainrot can carry only one mutation but several traits. Multipliers are added, not multiplied. A Cyber brainrot with a 7x trait is an 18x brainrot, not 11 times 7 equals 77x. Using the wiki's income figures:
| Brainrot | Base income | Cyber (11x) | Cyber + two 5x traits (21x) | Eclipse (14x) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ventoliero Pavonero | $65M/s | $715M/s | $1.365B/s | $910M/s |
| La Food Combinasion | $90M/s | $990M/s | $1.89B/s | $1.26B/s |
| Cerberus | $175M/s | $1.925B/s | $3.675B/s | $2.45B/s |
Two practical consequences follow. A mutation is worth more on a higher-base brainrot, because the multiplier applies to the base. And each extra 5x trait adds the same as five points of mutation, so a Cyber brainrot with two good traits can beat a higher-multiplier mutation with none.
How to get Cyber now
The wiki gives one answer: Admin Abuse. These are special server events run by the game's developers, usually after the Saturday update (around 3 PM EST, lasting 30 to 60 minutes) and on Taco Tuesday at 6 PM EST. During them the developers can start events, raise luck and give out lucky blocks.
The wiki also documents a command called Mutation Rain, added in Update 51, which makes a set number of brainrots spawn with a random mutation. The wiki does not say which mutations it can pick or whether Cyber is included.
What you cannot do, according to the wiki:
- Craft a Cyber brainrot. The Cyber Craft machine has been removed.
- Wait for a scheduled Cyber window. The event is described as formerly active.
- Buy it. The mutation is not a shop item.
If you see a Cyber brainrot on someone's base, it came from past activations, a trade or an Admin Abuse.
What happened to the Cyber Craft machine
The Cyber Craft was a machine that produced 19 brainrots on the wiki's list. Recipes were listed as combinations of existing brainrots, for example Digi Narwhal from one Capitano Moby and one Fishino Clownino, or Los Chillis from three Chillin Chili. The machine is now removed and replaced by the Summer Fuse, and the wiki marks Digi Narwhal as unobtainable for that reason.
Do not rely on guides that show Cyber Craft recipes as a current method. The incomes in those guides are also out of date: the wiki lists Los Chillis at $75M/s and Digi Narwhal at $200M/s, not the billions some older pages claimed.
Where Disco fits
The wiki's trivia says Disco was supposed to be the mutation after Divine, but the developer scrapped it and put Cyber in its place. It adds that Cyber was suggested by a YouTuber during a stream. Some data sources still list Disco as an upcoming 11x mutation. The wiki treats it as scrapped, so there is no confirmed release.
Common mistakes
- Multiplying traits with the mutation. The wiki's examples add them. Calculating 11 x 7 gives 77x when the wiki's method gives 18x.
- Following Cyber Craft timing advice. The machine is gone, so schedules built around it do not apply.
- Assuming a safe trait number. Numbers such as "+40% shield protection" appear in old guides but are not in the wiki's mutation or trait data, so ignore them.
- Expecting a Disco release. The wiki lists it as scrapped.
- Mutating by habit. A mutation stays on the brainrot, so spend your rare opportunities on a brainrot you intend to keep.
