Volleyball Legends tier list: who is S tier by the numbers?
By stat score the overall S tier is Kumo (77.9), Shiro (77.1), Kisuki (77.0), Kyamo (72.5) and Timeskip Kyamo (71.4). Only Kisuki and Kyamo are permanent. By role, Kijo leads spikers (93.3), Kumo leads setters (97.7) and receivers (100.8), and Shiro leads blockers (98.3). Special moves are not in these scores.
This list covers all 45 styles the wiki has pages for, using the Volleyball Legends Wiki as it read on October 24, 2026. The wiki labels its stats as estimates unconfirmed by the developers, so treat a gap of one or two points as a tie. The full style database sits on the Volleyball Legends styles page, and the site's own tier list page uses the same scores.
How the scores are built
The wiki states outright that there is no single best style, and it lists community-debated picks per role instead. A debate does not give you a repeatable ranking, so we scored the numbers the wiki does publish. Each style has eight stats: block, bump, dive, jump, serve, set, speed and spike. From those we compute five scores:
| Score | Formula |
|---|---|
| Overall | Mean of the eight stats |
| Spiker | 0.40 spike + 0.30 jump + 0.15 speed + 0.15 serve |
| Setter | 0.50 set + 0.20 speed + 0.15 dive + 0.15 jump |
| Blocker | 0.50 block + 0.35 jump + 0.15 speed |
| Receiver | 0.40 bump + 0.40 dive + 0.20 speed |
Tiers come from rank, not from fixed score cutoffs. The top 10% of the 45 styles is S, the next 20% is A, then 30% B, 25% C and 15% D. In practice that means 5 styles in S, 9 in A, 14 in B, 11 in C and 6 in D for every score. Because the cut falls on rank, two styles on the same score can land in different tiers. In the receiver list Kyoshin and Yokai both score 88.0, and Kyoshin is S while Yokai is A.
Four limits on the method, all from the wiki's own data:
- Stats above 100 are stored as 101 (the wiki draws them as rainbow bars), and the extra ninth bar some styles carry (Dash, Parry, Tilt and so on) is left out.
- Styles with several forms use their base form: Hidari without Left Side, Yogan without Rage Mode, The Twins as Akuto.
- Timeskip Hinto is stored at its base spike of 90, although its page gives a 90 to 120 range.
- Special moves, Mastery upgrades and hitbox changes do not enter the formula at all. A later section shows where that matters.
Overall tier list: S and A

| 2 | Shiro | Secret | Limited | 77.1 | 617 | S | No |
| 3 | Kisuki | Secret | Permanent | 77.0 | 616 | S | Yes |
| 4 | Kyamo | Godly | Permanent | 72.5 | 580 | S | Yes |
| 5 | Timeskip Kyamo | Secret | Limited | 71.4 | 571 | S | No |
| 6 | Kazana | Secret | Limited | 70.1 | 561 | A | No |
| 7 | Okazu | Godly | Permanent | 68.1 | 545 | A | Yes |
| 8 | Yokai | Legendary | Permanent | 68.1 | 545 | A | Yes |
| 9 | Akari | Ultra | Limited | 67.5 | 540 | A | No |
| 10 | Feiko | Secret | Limited | 66.4 | 531 | A | No |
| 11 | Jinko | Secret | Limited | 66.4 | 531 | A | No |
| 12 | Taichou | Secret | Limited | 66.4 | 531 | A | No |
| 13 | The Twins | Secret | Limited | 66.4 | 531 | A | No |
| 14 | Kyoshin | Legendary | Permanent | 66.3 | 530 | A | Yes |
Three of the five S-tier styles are limited Secrets you cannot roll right now (Kumo, Shiro and Timeskip Kyamo). The two you can keep forever are Kisuki and Kyamo. Kisuki's total of 616 sits only 7 points under Kumo's 623, and it is one of just two permanent Secret styles. In A tier, Okazu, Yokai and Kyoshin are permanent, and four styles (Feiko, Jinko, Taichou and The Twins) tie at 66.4.
Tier lists by role
Spikers
| Rank | Style | Rarity | Status | Score | Spike | Jump | Speed | Serve |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kijo | Secret | Limited | 93.3 | 100 | 100 | 75 | 80 |
| 2 | Akari | Ultra | Limited | 91.8 | 100 | 100 | 85 | 60 |
| 3 | Jinko | Secret | Limited | 90.4 | 100 | 100 | 35 | 101 |
| 4 | Kazana | Secret | Limited | 88.8 | 90 | 101 | 75 | 75 |
| 5 | Ronin | Ultra | Limited | 87.3 | 100 | 100 | 35 | 80 |
A tier: Bakuri 86.5, Ibara 86.5, Timeskip Hinto 86.3, Riku 85.8, Roketto 85.8, Yogan 82.0, Sanju 81.3, Timeskip Okazu 80.4, Encho 79.0.
All five S-tier spikers are limited, so the best spiker you can always roll is Bakuri, a Godly at 86.5, which sits 0.8 behind Ronin. Kijo tops the list even though its block stat is 0. The wiki describes it as a style that gives up blocking entirely for an extreme tilt, and the formula agrees that spiking is all it does.
Setters
| Rank | Style | Rarity | Status | Score | Set | Speed | Dive | Jump |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kumo | Secret | Limited | 97.7 | 101 | 100 | 101 | 80 |
| 2 | Kisuki | Secret | Permanent | 95.7 | 100 | 100 | 101 | 70 |
| 3 | Feiko | Secret | Limited | 92.3 | 101 | 85 | 65 | 100 |
| 4 | Shiro | Secret | Limited | 92.3 | 101 | 85 | 65 | 100 |
| 5 | Taichou | Secret | Limited | 92.3 | 101 | 85 | 65 | 100 |
A tier: Hakka 91.5, Timeskip Kyamo 90.8, The Twins 88.0, Kyamo 87.3, Timeskip Okazu 86.0, Kyoshin 78.0, Sazuroku 75.3, Okazu 75.0, Yokai 72.8.
Kisuki is the only permanent S-tier setter. The wiki's community setter picks are Feiko, Shiro and Timeskip Kyamo, and the formula agrees: Feiko and Shiro are S, and Timeskip Kyamo is A, only 1.5 points behind the S line. Hakka, the Ultra setter with the Clone special, also misses S by 0.8.
Blockers
| Rank | Style | Rarity | Status | Score | Block | Jump | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shiro | Secret | Limited | 98.3 | 101 | 100 | 85 |
| 2 | Mikage | Secret | Limited | 90.8 | 101 | 100 | 35 |
| 3 | Hirakumi | Godly | Permanent | 87.3 | 100 | 100 | 15 |
| 4 | Mamori | Ultra | Limited | 85.3 | 90 | 100 | 35 |
| 5 | Yokai | Legendary | Permanent | 85.0 | 70 | 100 | 100 |
A tier: Okazu 82.5, Roketto 80.3, Akari 77.8, Kyamo 77.8, Ibara 76.0, Tsuchiro 73.8, Kozei 72.3, Timeskip Hinto 71.3, Bakuri 70.5.
Shiro at 98.3 is the strongest score on any list besides the two receivers above 100. Two S-tier blockers are permanent, Hirakumi and Yokai, and Mamori, the newest style, is the one S-tier blocker you can roll today. The wiki lists community top picks for setters and spikers but none for blockers or receivers, so this table and the next fill that gap.
Receivers
| Rank | Style | Rarity | Status | Score | Bump | Dive | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kumo | Secret | Limited | 100.8 | 101 | 101 | 100 |
| 2 | Kisuki | Secret | Permanent | 100.4 | 100 | 101 | 100 |
| 3 | Ninyoku | Rare | Permanent | 95.0 | 100 | 100 | 75 |
| 4 | Sazuroku | Legendary | Permanent | 94.0 | 100 | 85 | 100 |
| 5 | Kyoshin | Legendary | Permanent | 88.0 | 100 | 95 | 50 |
A tier: Yokai 88.0, Kazana 81.0, Yomosuke 80.0, Kishoti 71.0, The Twins 67.0, Kijo 65.0, Timeskip Kyamo 59.0, Kyamo 58.0, Feiko 57.0.
Four of five S-tier receivers are permanent. Ninyoku is a Rare and scores 95.0, ahead of Sazuroku (Legendary) at 94.0. If you want a receiver without chasing a Secret, this is the cleanest answer in the data.
Where the formula and the special moves disagree
The score treats every style as a bag of eight numbers. Several styles are built around something the numbers cannot hold. These six are the biggest gaps we found. The alternative scores are our arithmetic using the same formulas on the numbers the wiki gives for each form.
| Style | Formula says | What the wiki says the special does | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timeskip Hinto | Spiker A, 86.3 (8th) | Super Spike: with the meter at 85% or more, a spike is stronger than one from a maxed spike stat; the page lists spike as 90 to 120 | Plugging in 120 gives a spiker score of 98.3, above Kijo's 93.3, but only at a full meter |
| Hidari | Overall D, 51.3 (41st) | Left Side: a spike or serve with the ball near the left arm hitbox is very fast; that form lists Serve 110 and Spike 110 | Left Side stats would score 95.0 as a spiker, against 62.3 for the base form |
| Yogan | Spiker A, 82.0 (11th) | Rage Mode: temporarily maxed stats, lasting 5 spikes after the nerfs | Rage Mode stats score 100.7 as a spiker, but only while the meter lasts |
| The Twins | Blocker D, 45.5 (42nd) | Switch swaps to Okuro (Spiker/Blocker) with a 5 second cooldown; Okuro lists Block 85 | Okuro scores 80.5 as a blocker, which would be A tier |
| Timeskip Okazu | Overall B, 65.8 (16th) | Rainbow Serve: hit the rainbow zone on the serve meter for a serve that knocks the receiver back and stuns them for about 2 seconds | Serve carries only 15% of the spiker formula and none of the others, so the signature move is invisible |
| Sanju | Overall C, 58.8 (31st); spiker A, 81.3 (12th) | Super Tilt: side-tilt spikes change direction by a few degrees, where normal styles gain about 1.5 ball widths | The wiki's community spiker picks include Sanju; the formula ranks eleven spikers above it |
The agreement is just as informative. All eight of the wiki's community picks (setters Feiko, Shiro and Timeskip Kyamo; spikers Akari, Jinko, Kijo, Sanju and Timeskip Hinto) land in S or A for their role. Mikage is C overall but the second-best blocker at 90.8, and its Ghost Arms special widens the block even further, so the special points the same way as the stats. Kisuki scores S as setter and receiver, and its Super Dive (a chargeable dive that can cover the whole court, with a 50% larger dive hitbox) is the reason receivers care about it.
The practical rule: trust the formula for ranking styles that play normally, and trust the special for styles built around one move. If you are choosing between two close scores, read the special on the style page first.
The limited styles you cannot roll today
On October 24, 2026 the wiki shows two limited styles inside a window: Mamori (until October 31) and Kijo, whose page lists a return on October 24 with no end date. Every other limited style waits for a rerun. These are the ten best limited styles by overall score and how long each has been gone:
| Overall rank | Style | Rarity | Score | Last window ended | Days since |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kumo | Secret | 77.9 | Jun 27, 2026 | 119 days |
| 2 | Shiro | Secret | 77.1 | Sep 12, 2026 | 42 days |
| 5 | Timeskip Kyamo | Secret | 71.4 | Oct 10, 2026 | 14 days |
| 6 | Kazana | Secret | 70.1 | May 30, 2026 | 147 days |
| 9 | Akari | Ultra | 67.5 | May 9, 2026 | 168 days |
| 10 | Feiko | Secret | 66.4 | Jun 6, 2026 | 140 days |
| 11 | Jinko | Secret | 66.4 | Oct 17, 2026 | 7 days |
| 12 | Taichou | Secret | 66.4 | Jul 18, 2026 | 98 days |
| 13 | The Twins | Secret | 66.4 | Apr 11, 2026 | 196 days |
| 15 | Hakka | Ultra | 65.8 | Sep 19, 2026 | 35 days |
Gaps between a style's own windows are the only yardstick the data gives. Across 33 gaps the median is 119 days, with a shortest of 30 and a longest of 269. By that measure Kumo is sitting right at the median, and Shiro, which ended only 42 days ago, is nowhere near it. This is a rough guide and not a schedule, since the wiki announces nothing ahead of time. Besides the brand-new Mamori, five styles have only ever had one window: Ibara (140 days), Kumo (119 days), Riku (98 days), Roketto (63 days), Shiro (42 days). Our update log guide lays out the rerun pattern, and the limited styles guide covers each style's history.
The permanent styles worth chasing
If you want a style you can roll any week, these are the permanent styles ranked by overall score. The last column gives the tier in each role.
| Style | Rarity | Overall rank | Score | Overall tier | Role tiers (spiker/setter/blocker/receiver) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kisuki | Secret | 3 | 77.0 | S | B/S/C/S |
| Kyamo | Godly | 4 | 72.5 | S | B/A/A/A |
| Okazu | Godly | 7 | 68.1 | A | B/A/A/C |
| Yokai | Legendary | 8 | 68.1 | A | C/A/S/A |
| Kyoshin | Legendary | 14 | 66.3 | A | D/A/B/S |
| Sazuroku | Legendary | 17 | 65.6 | B | D/A/B/S |
| Bakuri | Godly | 22 | 62.5 | B | A/D/A/C |
| Kozei | Legendary | 24 | 62.5 | B | B/C/A/B |
Kyamo and Yokai are the two styles with an A or better in three of the four roles, which makes them the safest all-purpose permanent picks. Kisuki is the strongest permanent style, but it is a Secret at 0.01% per normal spin, so see our Lucky Spins guide for the odds and pity route. If you only have Common to Godly styles to work with, the best styles by position guide ranks them role by role.
FAQ
What is the best style in Volleyball Legends?
By overall stat score it is Kumo (77.9), then Shiro (77.1) and Kisuki (77.0). Of those three only Kisuki is permanent. The wiki itself says there is no single best style.
What is the best permanent style?
Kisuki at 77.0 overall, with S-tier scores as setter (95.7) and receiver (100.4). Kyamo is second at 72.5 and the best Godly.
Who is the best spiker?
Kijo scores 93.3, then Akari 91.8, Jinko 90.4, Kazana 88.8 and Ronin 87.3. All five are limited. The best spiker that is always available is Bakuri at 86.5.
Does the tier list include special moves?
No. The scores use only the eight stats. A style like Timeskip Hinto, Hidari or Yogan can play stronger than its score because of its special, which is why this guide lists the biggest gaps.
How are the tiers decided?
By rank among the 45 styles: the top 10% is S, the next 20% A, then 30% B, 25% C and 15% D. That gives 5, 9, 14, 11 and 6 styles per tier.
Why are the stats called estimates?
The wiki's stats template says the numbers are estimates, subject to change and unconfirmed by the developers, so small differences between styles are not reliable.
