Tips & Strategy(8)

  • โ—Chef focuses on supporting teams, and does not sustain itself alone.
  • โ—Stocking food is recommended, and should be used in certain events later on.
  • โ—This class works well with Hunter and Fisherman, as both of them focus on collecting meat for your recipes.
  • โ—Farm Plots are needed to efficiently farm ingredients, and the Farmer class is best with that.
  • โ—Chef's Station cooks faster than Crockpot.
  • โ—Carrot Cake, BBQ Ribs and Jar oโ€™ Jelly can be eaten to heal yourself, it is suggested to use them if you are in danger.
  • โ—Certain dishes can be used with certain effects when leaving the campfire. The durations are long and can counter certain situations.
  • โ—For the leveling up requirements, get a spear (not really needed if you are pro at melee or just don't like scavenging) then hunt wolves (they gives a steak and 2-3 morsels when killed, just enough to make a steak dinner) then grab its meat to the fire to cook it then put the steak and morsels in ur chef station (it will make the steak dinner, which counts as a special meal) then repeat the thing all over again(and also im telling you to cook those meat before using them to make the steak dinner because it will also count toward the food cooked requirement)

Chef โ€” In-Depth Analysis

The Chef costs 150 Diamonds and is the premier support-cooking class in 99 Nights in the Forest. It spawns with two starter tools, a Chef's Station Blueprint and a Recipe Book, and its Level 1 perk lets you cook unique recipes that grant huge bonuses while automatically seasoning everything you make. Levels 2 and 3 each unlock an additional recipe, steadily widening your menu of buffs and heals.

This is a team class first. The Chef doesn't sustain itself well alone, so it shines alongside meat-gathering classes like Hunter and Fisherman, and pairs beautifully with a Farmer running Farm Plots for ingredients. Notably, the Chef's Station cooks faster than the Crockpot, and dishes such as Carrot Cake, BBQ Ribs and Jar o' Jelly double as emergency heals you can eat when in danger. Certain meals also grant lasting effects that persist after you leave the campfire, long enough to counter specific late-game events.

Pick the Chef if you enjoy logistics and keeping a squad fed and buffed rather than fighting on the front line. Stock ingredients ahead of big events, and you become the backbone that lets aggressive teammates push harder. For leveling, hunting wolves into steak dinners is a reliable, repeatable loop.
