All Entities

The forest is alive by day and ugly by night. Daytime gives you rabbits, deer and passive wolves that double as food and pelts. Nighttime spits back wolf packs, knife-wielding cultists, and — if you stick around long enough — unique named creatures that only show up during special events or late-game nights.

Each card lists HP, damage and walkspeed when the wiki confirms them. Some entities are flat-out unkillable — don't waste swings, just run. Others drop valuable loot worth the fight. Click any creature to read the full behavior writeup, spawn locations, and what they drop when they fall.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many entities are in 99 Nights in the Forest?

There are currently 37 entities in the game, ranging from passive animals and NPC traders to hostile wildlife and supernatural monsters. The roster includes both tameable creatures and enemies that cannot be defeated at all.

Which entities can be tamed, and what do they need?

Thirteen entities can be tamed using specific food items. Easy tames include the Bunny (1 Carrot) and the Kiwi (1 Berry), while tougher animals cost more — a Wolf needs Steak x3 and Morsel x3, and the massive Hellephant requires Pumpkin x10 and Cake x5. The Mammoth is the only Neutral entity that can also be tamed with the same food as the Hellephant.

Are there any entities that cannot be killed?

Yes — five entities are completely unkillable: The Bat, The Cat, The Deer, The Owl, and The Ram. Despite being indestructible, they deal real damage (The Cat hits hardest at 78 damage per attack), so your best strategy is to run or hide rather than fight them.

What are Cultists and how dangerous are they?

Cultists are hostile human enemies that come in several types. Brute Cultists are the toughest with 400 HP and 40 damage per hit — similar to a Bear. Darkstring and Shadow Cultists each have 120 HP but can still pose a threat in groups. Avoid engaging multiple cultists at once early in the game.

Are there special event entities?

Yes, several entities only appear during limited-time events. Aliens show up during space events, Christmas Elves appear in winter, Frogs swarm during their own event, and the Evil Bunny (which is unkillable) arrives around Easter. Event entities often drop exclusive items, so keep an eye on the game's update announcements.
