Description
Tucked away at the Kitsune Shrine on Kitsune Island, the Fox Lamp is one of the more unusual legendary swords in Blox Fruits. Its very name hints at mystical origins, and players who make the journey to obtain it are rewarded with a weapon that channels both scorching heat and wild, untamed flame. Its two moves, Scorching Azure and Infernal Firestorm, suggest a playstyle built around sustained fire-based pressure. Legendary-tier swords generally deliver strong damage scaling as you pour points into the Sword stat, and mastery builds naturally through combat use, gradually unlocking the full potential of both moves. If you are farming or grinding near Kitsune Island, the shrine visit is worth making. The Fox Lamp sits in a part of the map tied to its own distinct lore, and pairing a legendary sword of this caliber with a solid Sword build gives you a meaningful edge in both PvE and PvP encounters.
Moves & Abilities
3 movesThe player performs 4 swipes, having absolutely no delay.
The user summons a rotating ring of blue letters that envelop the player. Once released, the azure embers swiftly move towards the target aimed at the cursor's location. Upon contact with an enemy, the azure embers inflict multiple slashing attacks before propelling the enemy into the air, resulting in a powerful explosion. If held, the letters transform into blue spheres that rotate around the player, though this is just a visual change and does not affect damage.
This ability consists of two variations: *When tapped: ** User swiftly dashes toward the target and unleashes a beam of intense blue fire, pushing the target backward. *When held: ** User releases a massive beam of fire, pushing the enemy away. The user then finishes the move by dashing through the opponent and landing a single slicing attack. This move is similar to Ghost [C], awakened Flame [X], and Sound [X].

Fox Lamp — In-Depth Analysis
What Is the Fox Lamp?
The Fox Lamp is a Legendary-rarity sword introduced in Update 22, obtainable in the Third Sea at Kitsune Island through the Kitsune Shrine. Because it's tied to a shrine mechanic rather than a direct purchase, acquiring it takes deliberate effort — you'll need to progress well into the Third Sea before the Shrine becomes accessible. Its Legendary status signals that this is a serious endgame contender.
Role and Who It's For
The Fox Lamp excels at combo-heavy PvP and air combat. Both of its moves have virtually no end-lag and sport short cooldowns, which means you can chain abilities back-to-back without being punished for overextending. The sword drains Instinct dodges efficiently and both moves break Instinct, making it extremely threatening against players trying to turtle behind defensive dashes.
For grinding, the no-dash fourth M1 pattern and fast attack speed make it one of the better Buddha-compatible swords in the Third Sea. All moves can hit Sea Beasts and have respectable AoE, rounding out its utility beyond pure PvP.
- Best suited for aggressive combo players who fight at mid-range - Works well with Awakened Buddha for efficient grinding - Requires precise aim; both moves can be Instinct-tricked if telegraphed
Tip: Because the Fox Lamp has no end-lag on either skill, practice canceling into a fighting-style move immediately after the animation to keep opponents locked in your combo window.
