How to Obtain
Use Monster Magnet, and then Defeat Terrorshark#Anchored Terrorshark
Description
Forged from the remains of one of the sea's most fearsome predators, the Shark Anchor is a legendary sword with an unusual acquisition method — you must first use the Monster Magnet to summon and then defeat the Anchored Terrorshark. That extra step makes it rarer in practice than most legendaries and a genuine trophy for players who earn it. As a sword, it scales with your Sword stat, and its damage potential climbs steadily as you rack up mastery through combat. The two moves it brings to the fight are Typhoon Toss and Armor Breaker, a pairing that hints at both crowd pressure and defensive disruption, making it worth grinding for players who favour aggressive sword builds. Legendary rarity means the Shark Anchor sits comfortably in the upper tier of weapons, outclassing common and uncommon swords in raw power. If you're willing to track down the Anchored Terrorshark and bring the right tool for the job, the reward punches well above average.

Trivia
10- 1The Shark Anchor is the third water-related sword, the first being Trident and the second being Dragon Trident.
- 2It is recommended to use close-ranged fruits like Portal to increase combo effectiveness instead of using long ranged Blox Fruits like Lightning.
- 3The Shark Anchor's M1s have a similar sound and VFX to that of Sharkman Karate and Water Kung Fu. This does not mean that the M1s do not have any delays.
- 4When used near a wall, gold marks will appear on the wall.
- 5The projectile launched resembles a Terrorshark.
- 6This skill causes 3 explosions; Water Tornado -> Splash -> Final Explosion.
- 7If used on a moving boat, the animation of this ability will keep repeating.
- 8Acts quite similar to Cursed Dual Katana's [Z] and awakened Dough's [C] move.
- 9Aiming this move at the ground instead of away will briefly stun the enemy, making combos easier and more damaging.
- 10This move increases the damage on a large enemy, but that does not mean it completely ignores the defense of some transformed fruits. (Such as Buddha, the untransformed user will take 300 damage with one stat level, but in the transformed form it is reduced to 200.)
Shark Anchor — In-Depth Analysis
What Is Shark Anchor?
Shark Anchor is a Legendary sword introduced in Update 20 and locked to the Third Sea. To obtain it, you must use a Monster Magnet and then defeat the Anchored Terrorshark — a deliberately gated acquisition method that signals this is a weapon for dedicated late-game players, not a casual pick-up.
Why It Stands Out
Shark Anchor's entire kit revolves around area control. Every move — including the AoE pull and explosion — hits multiple targets simultaneously, making it exceptional for both Sea Event farming and boss fights like the Leviathan. The explosion component breaks Instinct outright, a meaningful advantage in high-level PvP where Instinct is the primary defensive tool.
That said, the weapon has real weaknesses to respect. Its M1 is sluggish with a dash on the fourth hit, the aerial game is poor, and the pull-into-explosion sequence is Instinct-trickable if the opponent is experienced. High knockback can also push enemies out of follow-up range in open terrain.
- Best role: Third Sea PvP, Sea Events, and Leviathan boss encounters - Signature strength: Instinct-breaking explosion + multi-target AoE in every move - Concrete tip: Land the pull on grounded or wall-adjacent enemies — the explosion's Instinct break is far less Instinct-trickable at close range, giving you a reliable combo entry that open-air fights would otherwise deny.
