That scarcity alone drives most of its appeal, but the real draw is its enormous x75 sell multiplier, placing it firmly among the heavyweight mutation pets rather than the modest farming helpers most players start with.

Mechanically the Hydra works the way every multiplier pet does: its bonus is multiplicative, so it layers on top of growth mutations like Gold, Rainbow, and weather effects such as Wet or Chilled. Stacking a x75 companion behind an already-mutated harvest is how players push single crops into truly absurd sheckle territory, and that compounding is exactly why divine pets are hoarded rather than sold.

The honest caveat is that its trigger condition is currently unrecorded, so plan around it as a passive value engine rather than a conditional burst. For a serious late-game farmer chasing maximum profit, the Hydra is absolutely worth pursuing if you can still source one; for casual players it is a luxury, not a necessity.
