Wet

Wet is one of the foundational weather mutations in Grow a Garden, and in the data it points back to the broader Crop Mutations group — a reminder that it belongs to the family of condition-based effects rather than a standalone collectible. It is the mutation you see constantly, because it is applied simply by exposure to water: rain, sprinklers, or any watering effect leaves crops with the Wet coat.

Its strategic role is as a base layer, not a finisher. Wet carries a modest multiplier on its own, but its real importance is that it is the entry point for upgrade chains — most notably, a Wet crop caught in the right cold weather can advance into Frozen, which is dramatically more valuable. Because mutation multipliers stack, Wet quietly contributes to almost every big sale even when it is not the headline effect.

Is it worth chasing? You do not chase Wet so much as use it deliberately. Keep your highest-value crops watered when you expect a freeze, treat Wet as the spark that sets up bigger transformations, and never count it out just because it is common — the cheapest, most reliable mutation in the game is also one of the most foundational.
