Once the Fairy Event rotation ends, the wand becomes unobtainable through normal play, so the only reason to grab it is collection completeness or whatever cosmetic or light-based utility the event attaches to it.

For players optimizing pure profit, the Luminous Wand sits near the bottom of the priority list. It does not stack onto crops, it does not raise a fruit's base price, and it competes for inventory and event-currency attention against items that do. Pick it up if you are a completionist or you enjoy the Fairy Event aesthetic; skip it without guilt if your goal is raw Sheckle throughput, because the time is far better spent farming weather-driven fruit mutations that actually multiply your crop sales.
