The New Year's Chimp is a limited Mythical pet rather than a stamp-on-a-fruit multiplier, so its worth in Grow a Garden lives in its passive ability and its event scarcity, not a flat sell number. It was obtainable only during the New Year's Event, hatched from either the New Year's Egg or the Premium New Year's Egg, each at a 15% chance.

That 15% rate is relatively generous for a Mythical, which means a fair number of players who opened those eggs during the window walked away with one. As a result it is not as scarce as the rarer single-digit-percent New Year's pets, and its trade weight reflects that more accessible supply rather than true scarcity.

Is it worth chasing now? The event has closed, so the Chimp can no longer be hatched and only changes hands through trading. Given the softer 15% origin, treat it as a mid-tier collectible: a nice festive pet to hold for its ability and seasonal flavor, but not the centerpiece New Year's chase. If you are building toward sheckle output, your effort is better spent on the high-multiplier crop mutations than on cornering this comparatively common holiday pet.
