The Reindeer is a limited Legendary pet introduced during the second part of the Christmas Harvest Event, hatched exclusively from the Christmas Egg. Unlike sell-boosting crop mutations, its real value lives in its event scarcity and its role as a crafting ingredient rather than a flat money multiplier, so chasing it is about long-term collection, not instant harvest profit.

The headline mechanic here is the Sleigh recipe: eight age-100 Reindeers can be fused into the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a far rarer upgrade. That requirement is brutal, since you must hatch and then fully raise eight separate Reindeers to maximum age before the conversion is even possible, making this one of the more demanding pet pipelines in the game.

Because it is limited, the Reindeer cannot be farmed once the event window closes, which steadily pushes its trade value upward among collectors. If you opened Christmas Eggs during the event, holding a stockpile is sensible: either bank them toward the Red-Nosed fusion or trade them later when supply dries up. For a casual player who missed the event, it is not worth overpaying mid-cycle unless you are specifically committed to completing the Sleigh upgrade.
