Reindeer Root

The Reindeer Root is a limited Transcendent crop sold in the Seed Shop, added in the third part of the Christmas Harvest Event. Its standout feature is breadth of typing: it counts as Root, Leafy, Woody, Stalky and Christmas all at once, so a single plant benefits from gear and bonuses that target any of those five categories, an unusually wide footprint compared to most seeds.

Its real money-maker, though, is its ability rather than raw sell price. Nearby crops have a chance to mutate with one of five Christmas-type mutations, which turns the Reindeer Root into a passive mutation engine for the plots around it. Christmas mutations layer multiplicatively on top of growth, weather and other mutation stacks, so seeding a Reindeer Root beside your high-value harvest can quietly inflate the sell value of an entire patch without any active input from you.

Because it is limited, the seed cannot be repurchased once the event closes, making it worth grabbing while available, especially if you run a Christmas-themed garden. For value-chasers it is best treated as infrastructure: plant it centrally, surround it with crops you intend to harvest, and let the Christmas mutation rolls compound your overall yield.
