In Grow a Garden, Merchants is one of those crops worth understanding before you go all-in on planting it — the sell price and growth time define whether the investment pays off. . Available in the main shop's seed section.

Mutations are the key to maximising return on any crop in Grow a Garden. Plant during favourable weather and within Sprinkler range to boost the odds of rare mutations stacking.

The golden rule in Grow a Garden is simple: never sell without first checking the active weather and each plant's mutation state. Merchants is no exception — the shop price is just the floor, not the ceiling.

Merchants are NPCs that spawn to the left of the Seed Shop with a chance to spawn every hour, letting a player buy the things within its shop. A merchant leaves or despawns every 30 minutes. There are currently 7 merchants, 2 Removed merchants, and 2 limited merchants in the game. Previously, traveling merchants arrived every time the Cosmetics Shop resets, now arrival times are completely randomized, mostly every 3 to 6 hours. The merchant will definitely spawn in 12 a.m. everyday (GMT +0:00).
