Mega is not a creature at all but a pet modifier that can roll onto any species, which is why this entry has no egg source or rarity of its own. Its defining line is brutal and simple: the pet becomes gigantic, runs a 20% faster hunger rate, and gains 10-40 XP per second. That trade is the entire decision around it.

The upside is leveling speed. Earning 10-40 XP every second dramatically shortens the climb to max level, where a pet's real passive power and bonuses peak. If your goal is to power-level a strong base pet quickly, a Mega tag is one of the fastest legitimate routes there. The visual flex of an oversized companion is a nice bonus.

The cost is appetite. A 20% faster hunger rate means more frequent feeding and shorter active windows, so a Mega pet that is left unattended will starve and idle sooner, wasting the very XP advantage you wanted. On a serious team, Mega shines as a leveling accelerator on pets you actively maintain, then matters less once that pet is capped. Pair it with deep-hunger species or attentive play, and skip it if you cannot keep it fed.
