Rebirth in Steal a Brainrot is the system that makes or breaks your long-term progression. Reset your cash, gain permanent multipliers, unlock gear, repeat. Simple concept โ but the numbers behind it are not obvious, and I've seen a lot of people either rebirth too early (losing momentum) or stop too early (leaving the best multipliers on the table).
This is the full breakdown: every Rebirth level, what it costs, what it actually gives you, and where the real ROI lives. Numbers are from the in-game UI as of Update 47.

The Best Rebirth Levels for ROI
Not every Rebirth step is equal. Here are the ones actually worth rushing:
R5 to R6 is your first real income jump. The +35% multiplier bonus from that step, plus the Ruby Slap unlock, pays back the $100M cost within a day of normal grinding. If you're early game, this is your first real target.
R10 to R12 is a solid push if you time it right. Cash flows easier at this stage from earlier multipliers stacking, and R12 gates you into T-tier income territory. Don't sit at R10 for long โ R11 and R12 both deliver meaningful jumps and the cost-to-multiplier ratio is still reasonable.
R15 is the one. The jump from R14 to R15 is the single largest multiplier increase in the whole table โ +60% in one step, on top of a cumulative 505% you already have. On paper that sounds large. In practice it's the moment your grinding ceiling genuinely changes. Plus, R15 unlocks a class of gear that simply doesn't exist at any lower tier. Most players don't realize this until they get there and suddenly understand what they were missing.
Mistakes I See Constantly
Rebirthing too early is the most common mistake. Each rebirth costs cash you need, and the costs scale fast. My rule: save enough to do 2โ3 rebirths in a single session. That amortizes the time-loss and keeps your income momentum from collapsing.
Forgetting about gear unlocks is the second-biggest mistake. Gear slots only open at specific rebirth levels. If you rebirth without knowing what's coming at the next level, you might skip a step that makes the one after it way more achievable. Check the gear shop before each rebirth so you know what you're unlocking.
Stopping at R10 is the third mistake and probably the most expensive one long-term. The +50% you pick up at R10 feels significant in the moment. But R15's compound multiplier is four times larger when you actually run the math. I've done this comparison in my own testing and the gap is not close.
How to Get to R15 Fast
Here's what actually works in the Cyber era:
- 1Stack 3โ5 Cyber Secrets first โ Los Chillis and Digi Narwhal are your targets. Each one earns billions per second passively
- 2With $100B/s combined income, the $25T R14 cost takes roughly 70 hours of passive earn. Chop that down with weekend Cyber windows where you can stack multiple crafts
- 3Buy your traits and Steal Shield before you rebirth โ those carry over and protect your investment
R15 is genuinely achievable in 3โ4 weeks of solid Cyber-era play if you're grinding weekends consistently. R20 is another story โ roughly 2 more months โ but by that point the grind is mostly idle once your top earners are properly stacked and shielded.
