DOORS Entities by Floor: Every Monster per Area

Resumo rápido

Which entities appear on each DOORS floor and subfloor, with door ranges, new versus returning threats and the atualização that added each batch.

DOORS entities by floor: who spawns where

DOORS has two main floors (The Hotel and The Mines), four subfloors (The Backdoor, The Outdoors, The Archives and The Stairwell) and The Rooms, which came back as a Vision in outubro 2026. This page maps every entity to the place it lives, using the DOORS Wiki's floor pages and entity pages as of 2026-10-24. For exact damage per entity, use the entities damage guia; this guia only covers where things appear and what changes from one area to the next.

The short answer to "what entities are in The Mines": Seek, Figure, Queen Grumble and Grumbles as the main threats, Giggle and Gloombats as the new recurring ones, plus Rush, Ambush, Eyes, Screech and Dupe carried over from The Hotel. Halt and Hide return with Mines-specific changes. Louie is the friendly trader.

The wiki's own entity list uses a "Main, Recurring, Miscellaneous" split for each area, and this guia follows it.

The Hotel (Floor 1)

The Hotel runs from Door 1 to Door 100, with The Reception as an extra starting room. Most of the game's classic entities live here.

RoleEntitiesWhere or when
MainFigureThe Library (Door 50) and The Electrical Room (Door 100)
MainSeekTwo chases; the lead-up starts around Doors 29-46 and 71-86
MainMoonlight (Guiding Light)Throughout; helps in chases
RecurringRush, Ambush, Eyes, Screech, DupeAmbush from Door 3 to 86
MiscellaneousHaltThe Dining Hall (Doors 3-87 on the Hotel page; the Halt page says it can appear as early as Door 1)
MiscellaneousSnareThe Greenhouse (Doors 90-99): 1-3 per room
MiscellaneousHide, Jack, Timothy, Dread, Sally, VoidRandom rooms and containers
FriendlyJeff, El Goblino, BobAll three are in Jeff's Shop

A few Hotel details that other floors change:

  • Eyes cannot spawn in The Reception, The Library, The Electrical Room or during Seek's lead-up. In The Mines they gain the ability to teleport.
  • Screech needs a dark room in the Hotel. A room Rush has just plunged into darkness counts.
  • Hide kicks you out of a closet faster after Door 50 than before it, which makes waiting out Rush or Ambush harder in the second half.
  • Snare is a Greenhouse specialty. The wiki also says it can appear in The Courtyard, at the basement entrance or inside the basement.
  • Sally is a Hotel entity. The wiki's Mines list does not include her, and her page lists only the Lobby (her face) and The Hotel.

The wiki's Jack odds disagree between pages. The Hotel page gives 1/2000 behind doors and 1/200 in closets. Jack's own page gives 1/10,000 to 1/20,000 for doors. Either way, Jack is a once-in-a-while jumpscare.

The Mines (Floor 2)

The Mines continues the door count from The Hotel, so its rooms are Doors 101 to 200. The wiki's floor page marks Door 142 as the first Seek chase (The Ravine), Door 150 as The Nest and Doors 170-180 as the second chase (The Sewage Pipes), followed by a boss fight in The Dam.

RoleEntitiesWhere or when
MainSeekDoor 142 chase, Door 170-180 chase, The Dam
MainQueen GrumbleRight after the first Seek chase, The Nest, the second Seek chase and the ending cutscene
MainGrumblePatrols The Nest (5 Grumbles including the Queen)
MainFigureThree encounters in The Shafts
RecurringGiggle, GloombatsGiggle in ceilings; Gloombats from Door 105
RecurringRush, Ambush, Eyes, Screech, DupeAmbush Door 103-197; Screech from Door 101
MiscellaneousHide, Halt, Louie, Jack, Timothy, Dread, Void, CharlesHalt on The Bridges

What makes the Mines feel different:

  • Figure is split into three rooms. The wiki lists Doors 110-114 (The Chasm) and Doors 120-124 (The Meat Cave) for the first two, and The Generator Cave for the third. Since The Content Update that third room no longer spawns in every run.
  • Rush is announced by earthquakes as well as flickering lights, and it can spawn ahead of you and travel in reverse.
  • Ambush has a lower spawn chance than in the Hotel, though the wiki mentions it being guaranteed early in the Mines and says it is unclear whether that is a bug or a hidden buff.
  • Screech is the most frequent Mines entity and can appear in lit rooms. It does not spawn in The Caverns, The Sewage Cells or The Dam, nor in Seek chases or Halt's hallway.
  • Hide also occupies the last hiding spot you used, which blocks reuse of that spot.
  • Snare is not on the wiki's Mines list. If you are used to Greenhouse traps, they do not follow you down.

Louie is the Mines' friendly entity, introduced in The Content Update on 2024-12-20. Drop an item in front of its burrow and it gives back something of similar value.

The Backdoor

The Backdoor is short and built around a timer. Door numbers run negative; the wiki gives Blitz a spawn window from Door -48 to Door -4.

RoleEntityNotes
MainHasteSpawns when the timer runs out
RecurringBlitzRush-like, with rebounds
RecurringLookmanEyes-like, teleports after each hit
AlwaysStarlight, GlitchStarlight narrates; Glitch is a failsafe 4 rooms behind

There is no Hide in the Backdoor, so you can stay in a closet as long as you like until Haste spawns. Haste is not a chase you can win by running; the wiki says pulling a Timer Lever during its attack despawns it.

The three Backdoor entities were added in The Hunt Update (2024-03-15), together with Dread for The Hotel.

The Outdoors

The Great Outdoors Update (2025-08-10) added nine: Groundskeeper, Caw, Monument, Surge, Mandrake, Eyestalk, Bramble, Grampy and World Lotus.

RoleEntitiesWhere
MainGroundskeeper, Eyestalk, Bramble, World Lotus, StarlightEyestalk chases after The Clearing; Bramble patrols The Hedge Maze
RecurringSurge, Mandrake, MonumentSurge spawns on a timer, not on a door
MiscellaneousSnare, Caw, GrampyGrampy lives at The Mill

Two spawning rules separate this floor from every other one. Surge does not follow the door-opening rule: the wiki says it spawns on a timer, and more often when you stay too long without opening a door. It cannot spawn before the first door, after the Mill is reached, or during Eyestalk's chase. It also cannot spawn when the Groundskeeper appeared in the last opened room.

Caws and Grampy are friendly and cannot hurt you.

The Archives

The Archives replaced The Rooms on 2026-08-28 and is the largest entity set added at once. It is divided into sectors from A to Z, and each sector has an elevator at room 50.

RoleEntityStarts at
MainHonchoElevator override between A-50 and Y-50
RecurringRansomSector A and above
RecurringDronesRandom rooms; stampede when the clocks hit 5:00 and 9:00
RecurringForget-Me-NotSector B onward, never in A
RecurringTellerA special queue room
RecurringBashFirst room of a sector, rushing forward
RecurringScribblesEarliest recorded in Sector B
RecurringAlmaSector J onward; room 25 of each sector after the first meeting
MiscellaneousFih, PortraitFih tanks; mirrors in bathrooms

Three of these are reworks. Bash replaces A-60, Ransom replaces A-90 and Scribbles replaces A-120. Bash's page says the rework was meant to tie the floor into DOORS' own lore and discourage any link to nicorocks5555's original Rooms game. Ransom is the only one that kept its predecessor's look.

The Archives also has fixtures that people sometimes count as entities: Currents (from Sector B), Water Coolers, the Shakelight Vending Machine, the Printer and the Trash Can. The wiki lists the Currents as a hazard and the rest as interactables, not entities.

Glitch uses a threshold of 20 rooms in the Archives, compared with 4 rooms in the Backdoor and Outdoors. That is why falling behind in the Archives is far more forgiving.

The Stairwell

The Stairwell is the newest subfloor. Its first entrance is Door 152 of The Mines (Skeleton Key required, in place since the 2026-08-28 release), and the wiki's changelog for the Access Granted update dates its lobby access to 2026-10-02. The entities themselves are listed under The Archives Update.

RoleEntityNotes
MainCreakBreaks the metal door at Landing 10; stalks the player
MainMeldFungus doors in Depot rooms
RecurringNoiseSpawns from a TV in Depot rooms

MiscellaneousCobblerLanding 99, the shop at the end
MiscellaneousHijackNeeds the disc from Room S-050 in the Archives
VisitorsRansom, Portrait, Glitch, World Lotus, CharlesBrought in or triggered

Hijack is the clearest case of a cross-floor entity in the game. You collect the disc in the Archives, carry it to the Stairwell and put it into Noise's TV, and Ransom takes over. After that, Ransom can attack during any Noise encounter and turn it into Hijack again.

Fire Sprinklers and Crushers are listed as hazards, not entities. The Crusher entry is dated 2026-10-02.

The Rooms (Vision)

The Rooms was a subfloor until The Archives replaced it, and returned on 2026-10-02 as a Vision where badges are unobtainable. Its three recurring entities are A-60 (after about Room 60), A-90 (most commonly from Room 90) and A-120 (more consistently after Room 120), plus Starlight (the wiki's Curious Light, the same entity) and World Lotus. The Rooms has 1000 rooms, and the Curious Light line calls its few entities "quite lethal".

Which entities repeat and which are new

Most Hotel entities return in the Mines, then mostly stop. Only a few jump across more than two areas.

Read the table in two halves. The first four rows are the classic Hotel set that the Mines inherits. Everything below it is an exception: Snare skips the Mines to come back in the Outdoors, Glitch and Starlight work as floor-level systems, and Ransom is the only creature built to cross subfloors.

Where the wiki disagrees with itself

  • Mines Seek doors. The Mines page puts the first chase at Door 142 and the second at Doors 170-180. The Seek page says the second chase begins between Doors 170 and 184. This guia uses the Mines page.
  • Archives entity count. The wiki says 15 entities were added on 2026-08-28, but both the entity list and the atualização page name 16.
  • Access Granted date. The atualização page says 2026-10-02. The entity list dates Charles to 2026-10-10 under "Access Granted".
  • Subfloor count. The Floors page says there are 5 released subfloors. Its gallery shows four, since The Rooms is now a Vision.
  • Alpha Release count. The entity list says 14 entities were added on 2022-08-10 but names 13. The Alpha Release page names 14 by also counting Glitch.
  • Screech in the Mines. The Mines page says it cannot spawn in The Caverns, The Sewage Cells or The Dam. The Screech page lists Seek chases, Halt's hallway, The Adit, The Dam and The Woods.
  • Rooms entities. The Crucifix page says it worked on A-60, A-90 and A-120 before The Archives Update, and the Rooms page says they were replaced on 2026-08-28 and returned on 2026-10-02 as a Vision.
