Firemaking III โ€” In-Depth Analysis

The Firemaking III badge is awarded the first time you push your Campfire all the way to level 5, and at 1 star it sits firmly in the easy tier, paying out a modest 2 diamonds. It is really a milestone marker on the natural progression every surviving group makes, rather than a challenge you set out to grind for on its own.

The only resource that matters here is fuel logs. Every upgrade level demands a bigger pile, so the practical play is to assign one or two players purely to chopping trees while the rest gather food and defend the camp at night. Drag your logs onto the fire and keep the upgrade prompt fed; reaching level 5 also widens your revealed map radius, which makes later resource runs far safer.

If you are rushing this, the Lumberjack class with its faster chopping is a big help, and bringing logs back in stacks rather than one trip at a time saves real minutes. Stay patient through the first few nights and level 5 arrives almost as a side effect of healthy survival.
