Hunting โ In-Depth Analysis
The Hunting badge sits at 2 stars of difficulty and rewards 4 diamonds. Unlike the Hunter badge, it has nothing to do with raw kill counts: you must complete all of the Pelt Trader's quests for the first time. The Pelt Trader is a wandering vendor who appears at your camp, and each quest asks you to deliver a specific number of animal pelts in exchange for resources.
The challenge here is consistency over a full playthrough rather than a single hard fight. Each quest stage demands more pelts than the last, so keep a steady supply by hunting Wolves, Bears and Foxes whenever you are out gathering. Stockpile pelts rather than selling them elsewhere, and turn them in the moment the Trader requests them so you do not lose track of progress.
Pair this naturally with the Hunter grind, since both reward the same hunting loop. The biggest pitfall is wasting pelts or failing to keep the camp alive long enough for the Trader to cycle through every quest. Defend your fire, keep children fed, and you will clear all stages well before the harder winter nights set in.
