Firemaking II โ€” In-Depth Analysis

Firemaking II is the direct follow-up to the level-3 fire badge, earned the first time you upgrade your Campfire to level 4. Like its predecessor it carries an easy 1-star difficulty and the same modest 2-diamond reward, marking a slightly deeper investment into your camp's central upgrade.

The only thing standing between you and this badge is more wood. Each campfire tier costs more than the last, so reaching level 4 means a noticeably larger fuel commitment than level 3 did. The practical plan is to keep a dedicated logging routine going in your early-to-mid game and pour the surplus into the fire as soon as you can afford the next tier instead of spending wood elsewhere.

Because you only need to hit level 4 once on any run, there is no grind beyond gathering โ€” and the upgrade pays for itself by making your base warmer and your nights safer. Knock out Firemaking I first, since the level-3 step is a prerequisite on the way up, then push straight to level 4 in the same session to claim both fire badges back to back.
