About
The Jungle Biome was added in the 1st March 2026 update, and it is the 5th biome added to 99 Nights in the Forest. =Overview= ---- The Jungle Biome is a major biome, alongside the Snow Biome and the Volcano Biome. It is a difficult biome to navigate because 1/ the ground level changes more often and more quickly - which can create cliffs higher than the player can jump - and 2/ it has many, many more plants and boulders that block movement and visibility. The most common enemy, the Boar, is tougher than a Wolf and you can easily get surprised by one because of the dense terrain. Jungle trees are tougher than regular trees, taking two swings from a Strong Axe to cut down (but produce the same number of logs and saplings). There are also small trees that cannot be chopped at all. Lastly, many of the chests are located behind traps. All in all, the Jungle Biome is still for a casual explorer. = Structures = ----

Jungle Biome — In-Depth Analysis
The Jungle Biome arrived in the 1 March 2026 update as the fifth biome, sitting alongside the Snow and Volcano zones as one of the game's major regions. It is dense, green, and deliberately hostile to navigate: the ground level shifts sharply enough to form cliffs taller than you can jump, while thick plants and boulders constantly block both movement and your line of sight.
The wildlife reflects that danger. Its inhabitants include Frogs, Boars, Jungle Cultists, Fish, The Cat, and Jungle Mammoths — and the common Boar is tougher than a Wolf, easily ambushing you out of the foliage. Resource gathering is slower too: jungle trees need two swings from a Strong Axe to fell (though they still yield normal logs and saplings), and some small trees cannot be chopped at all.
The real catch is the loot. Many chests here sit behind traps, so grabbing them demands caution rather than a careless grab-and-go. Despite all this friction, the wiki frames it as still approachable for a casual explorer. Treat the Jungle as a high-effort, high-reward zone: come with a Strong Axe, watch your footing on the cliffs, and clear traps before reaching for treasure.
