The North Pole Biome is a Christmas-Exclusive region introduced during Christmas Event Part 1 on 13 December 2025, and it stands apart from the game's permanent biomes because it is festive, seasonal content rather than a baseline map feature. Its biggest draw for newer survivors is reliability: it spawns 100% of the time, so you never have to gamble on whether a run will include it.

Access is gated, though. You can only reach the biome after upgrading the campfire to level 2, which means it rewards groups that have already secured enough early wood and resources to invest in their base. That gating makes it a mid-run destination rather than a night-one rush.

The inhabitants set the risk profile. A roaming Mammoth is a heavy, high-health threat that can punish under-geared players who wander in alone, while the Christmas Elves add seasonal flavor and event-tied encounters. Treat the snowy expanse as a place to visit with a coordinated team, decent weapons, and a plan to retreat to the fire, rather than a casual detour. For players chasing the limited-time Christmas theme, it is absolutely worth the trip.
