Description

Dropped by the Chief Warden deep inside the Prison, this rare sword is one of the earlier loot rewards that tests a player's willingness to grind through a heavily guarded location. Because it requires defeating a named boss rather than purchasing from a shop, earning it feels more like a milestone than a simple transaction. The Wardens Sword carries two moves: Multi-Target Slash and Tornado Slash. Multi-Target Slash lets you hit several enemies at once, which is useful when prison guards swarm you during or after the boss fight. Tornado Slash adds a spinning, area-affecting attack that can pressure opponents trying to close distance. Like all swords in Blox Fruits, it scales with your Sword stat, and mastery climbs as you land hits. As a rare-tier weapon it punches above common drops, making it a reasonable stepping stone while you build toward higher-rarity blades later in your journey.

Wardens Sword — In-Depth Analysis

What Is the Wardens Sword?

The Wardens Sword is a rare sword dropped by the Chief Warden at the Prison in the First Sea. One of the earliest boss-drop swords in the game (present since Update 1), it offers First Sea players an upgrade path that doesn't require spending Beli — just the effort of repeatedly defeating the Chief Warden.

Performance and Practical Value

The Wardens Sword's defining feature is its abnormally large hitbox for a First Sea sword, combined with AoE on both moves and a stun effect. This makes it genuinely useful for clearing groups of enemies in early-game grinding sessions, and the stun adds combo potential that most low-rarity swords simply lack.

Its weaknesses, however, are pronounced: both moves have terrible range, the high knockback on skills actively scatters mobs rather than clustering them for AoE follow-ups, there are no mobility moves whatsoever, and Blade users are immune. The low M1 damage is also typical of First Sea drops.

- Best used in stationary mob farming where the large hitbox and stun compensate for the range deficit. - Easy upgrade path makes it more competitive relative to comparable-rarity First Sea swords. - Replace it as soon as a higher-tier sword becomes obtainable — it has no meaningful place in Second Sea content.

Tip: When grinding with Wardens Sword, let mobs cluster around you before using AoE moves — its short range means attacking at max distance wastes the hitbox advantage.
