Dandy's World Update Log: Every Version From Alpha 0.1 to 0.29.10

Guide
By RBLXGUIDESunday, November 1, 202610 min read

Quick Summary

Every Dandy's World version from the June 2024 Alpha release to 0.29.10, grouped by year, with 2026 highlighted and a dated table of Toon, Twisted and trinket balance changes.

Dandy's World update log: what changed in every version

The current version is Alpha 0.29.10, released October 23, 2026 as part four of the Halloween patches and the home of The Hollow event. The Dandy's World Wiki's three changelog pages (2024, 2025 and 2026) list 18 dated entries for 2024, 45 for 2025 and 52 so far in 2026, counting hotfixes. That is a lot of text, so this guide sorts it by year and by what mattered: new Toons and events, system changes, and the balance changes that changed how a Toon plays.

Nothing here comes from in-game testing of these versions. Everything comes from the wiki changelogs, and the figures are quoted as the wiki gives them. Versions the wiki lists without content (many patches say only "Unknown") are skipped. The wiki also has placeholder entries for October 30, November 6 and a December Christmas update, but nothing confirmed for them, so this log stops at 0.29.10.

How the version numbers work

Every version is "Alpha 0.x.y". A new middle number ending in .1 is a content update: a new Toon, an event or a system. Higher numbers after it (0.17.2, 0.17.3 and so on) are patches that fix bugs and tune numbers, and the wiki often lumps several together, such as 0.15.9 to 0.15.12 on January 31, 2026. Hotfixes between patches sometimes have no version number at all. Since 2026 the game has also run a "Toon of the Week" cycle: a Toon gets a week-long update with a Golden skin and a title, and a patch seven days later removes the purchasable content. Skins, titles and gamepasses you already bought stay usable.

2024: launch year

The game went from an Alpha trailer on June 7, 2024 to the Alpha release on June 14. The 2024 changelog has 18 dated entries.

DateVersionWhat it brought
Jun 14, 2024Alpha 0.1Alpha release: 12 playable Toons plus Dandy (playable only by his creator), 13 Twisteds, 21 trinkets, Rainbow Rooms, Diner and Warehouse floors, the Blackout event and the default Machine
Jul 12, 2024Alpha 0.2Shelly update: Astro's Floor, the golden Skill Check zone, a Tape nerf, and the first round of Toon stat and ability changes
Aug 14, 2024Alpha 0.3Sprout update: Greenhouse floors, Pebble's abilities and Mastery reworked, Twisted cap cut from 8 to 6
Sep 28, 2024Alpha 0.4Skins and Gigi (part one), Gift Shop floor, Roleplay free camera
Dec 6, 2024Alpha 0.5.1Looey and Connie update, Shelly's Floor

The July 12 update (0.2) is the one that shaped the early balance: it added the golden zone to Skill Checks, cut Tape rewards (encounters and ability use 5 to 3, floor Tapes 10 to 5) and moved a number of Toon stats and abilities, listed further down.

2025: events, Dyle and new Machines

Dec 12, 2025Alpha 0.14.12025 Christmas event, Coal, Ginger and Flutter ability changes (removed Jan 16, 2026)

Two things from 2025 still define the game. Dyle's Floor and Dyle's Store arrived in 0.11.1 (August 2025), the same version that added Ichor Leaks and the Circle Machine. The Treadmill Machine followed in 0.12.1 in September. Each holiday ran for roughly five weeks and then its Toons, Twisteds and trinkets left the store: Easter 2025 from April 18 to May 23, Halloween from October 10 to November 14, and Christmas from December 12 to January 16.

The year breaks into four blocks. January to early March was systems work (floor spawning, Journal, matchmaking, Squirm). The Easter event ran March 20 to April 24. May to September was the Toon of the Week run, with Machines and Profiles in between. October is the Halloween event, which the wiki lists as running to November 6, 2026.

2026 changes that affect how you play today

  • Floor spawning (0.15.1). Diner and Greenhouse floors can appear from floor 1 instead of floor 6, and Warehouse, Gift Shop and Sprout's Floor from floor 6 instead of 11. Astro's, Shelly's and Vee's floors moved from floor 16 to floor 6. See the floors guide.
  • Twisted count (0.15.1 and 0.15.19). The cap went from 6 to 8, solo runs stay at 6, and duplicates of the same Twisted no longer appear.
  • Ichor Leaks (0.15.1). 14 puddles instead of 6, with Slow I applied as a real debuff.
  • Machines (0.19.1, 0.22.1). Duo Machines pair any two of the Default, Circle and Treadmill types, and Swimmy Barnaby Machines join the same pairings. Items can no longer be picked up while extracting (0.19.2 to 0.19.4).
  • Break Room (0.23.1). A rest room that appears every 25 floors, with 2 fixed Machines whatever the player count and no Twisteds or floor events.
  • Skill Check button (0.24.1). Press-and-hold returned and the button got bigger, with a larger increase on mobile.
  • Soulvester (0.29.1). Rework plus a Soul Sword buff that gives him an extra heart when the trinket is equipped.

Toon, Twisted and trinket balance changes

These are the balance changes the wiki's changelogs list, oldest first. Cooldown and percentage figures are quoted as written. Where a figure's unit is unclear, it is left out, which is why the 0.12.4 Treadmill star-value rework is not in the table.

DateVersionChange

Sep 18, 20260.28.1Gigi's Surprise cooldown 80 to 60 seconds, rolls from any item tier
Oct 2, 20260.29.1Soulvester reworked (spends a heart to guard a Toon, then teleports in and stuns the attacker); Eclipse can briefly highlight all Twisteds on the floor during Blackouts; Ribecca gets a random buff after her ability

Three patterns are worth knowing. First, Scraps' grapple has been buffed repeatedly (cooldown twice, pull time, then Machine attachment), while Astro, Brusha and Tisha all had abilities adjusted two or three times. Second, Twisted Pebble's 25 to 24 in 0.15.19 is the only Twisted speed nerf with exact numbers in the logs. Bobette's slight nerf in January 2025 gave none and was reverted in 0.14.1. Third, Toon of the Week updates usually double as balance patches for that Toon: Finn's Reel In, Tisha's Tidy Up, Brusha's Artistic Inspiration and Gigi's Surprise were all changed in their own week.

Patch notes for the current Halloween event

Alpha 0.29.1 on October 2 brought back Eclipse, Gourdy, Ribecca and Soulvester and their Twisteds, plus the trinkets Bone Needle and Thread, Memory Locket, Moon Pack Heirloom and Soul Sword. It added the Haunted Gala floor event, Trick or Treat doors, a rebuilt lobby with Gourdy's Store and a set of new buffs and debuffs (Guarded, GuardBurst, Sugar Rush and others). Part two (0.29.7, October 9) added Queens of Mischief skins, part three (0.29.9, October 16) added Roleplay sound effects to most Toon abilities, and part four (0.29.10, October 23) opened The Hollow through a Trick or Treat door in the lobby and added the Vanguard, Sweet Relief and No Bones About It door effects. Full detail on the event's currency is in the currencies guide.

For the Twisted and trinket side of these updates, see the Twisteds guide and best trinkets. Every update is also listed on the updates page.

Key Takeaways

  • Every Toon has star ratings for Skill Check, movement, Stamina, Stealth and extraction: pick based on whether you will extract machines or distract Twisteds.
  • Ichor is the main currency: you earn it by filling machines, picking up Research Capsules and completing floors.
  • Twisted Trinkets come from reaching 100% research on the matching Twisted.
  • There are very few codes and most expire: check the list before you redeem.
